Driving to a friend's house thirty miles away in a huge city on a quarter tank of gas: 10 dollars
Getting gas while at a Chevron at two in the morning in a small town with few other opens when you have almost no gas left: 24 dollars.
Food from a Longs, an AMPM, a donut shoppe and a McDonald's acquired throughout the evening: 34 dollars.
Watching one of your friends streak across a park bordering one of the most beautiful beaches you've ever known and then hiding his clothes before making the long trip back home with his boxers flapping on your car antenna: Priceless.
Some things, money can't buy. For everything else, there IS Mastercard. XD *laughing*

When I got back to Hayward after dropping Sessy off at her hom at like five in the morning (a little bit before, maybe. XD ), I dropped off my guy friend and then my girl friend and I went to a local Donut shoppe that is almost never seen open because she saw that it was open as we were driving up the street on the other side (seriously. I've only been in this shop ONCE. It's so hard to catch this place open! D= It was like... not quite six in the morning when we discovered the shack was open. ).
We took like ten minutes trying to decide on what to get from the cornucopia of dericious donuts before us.... and even considered pulling a prank on a guy we know (her ex boyfriend) but decided we didn't want to risk getting in s**t with his military father. >_>; We're both just girls, after all... XD (Playing No Doubt all night long... all throughout this insanity. XD I think I'm going to remember Excuse Me, Mr. as being the anthem for that evening. XD )
We got our dozen, went to a McDonald's cause it was the only fast food place open at five, five thirty in the morning, and got a pair of Steak, Egg, and Cheese bagel sammiches.
They had these roasted onions in 'em? ohmygod, SO DELICIOUS! O_O;
And I HATE onions with a burning passion! O_O;
But the entire sandwhich was a delicious experience as well. XD
We wound up going back to my place and having a mini sleepover after talking for like two hours straight. XD This friend is a great deal of fun to talk to, but it's to the point that I find her conversation so entertaining that she can actually manage to distract me a great deal. XD I don't mind it because it's always fun to talk to her. XD
But I wound up not going to work today. I got a call from Boss' mom who said they didn't need me to come in because it was slow (OHTHANKGOD! *flopped in closet*) but that I could come in this Sunday (tomorrow!?!?) to pick up mah moneh. XD
I'm trying to work out how much I should have earned for being paid seven dollars an hour. I'm kicking myself in the a** mentally for having not properly logged in my hours. I remember a portion of them, but not all of them. At the least, I know what I should be earning MORE than, so it shouldn't be that huge a problem, but I have ample opportunity to get seriously jipped should they decide they want to. >_>; They value honesty a great amount, so I sincerely hope that it is not in them to do something like that. @_@;
I didn't sign any W-2 forms, so any makings I make I can't process properly... and yet money is being taken out of my theoretical pay check for taxes. I'm not getting nine straight up because two dollars of every hour are going to the state and or country. @_@;
Meh, whatever. I'll just try to be more careful with them, even if it means just logging the days into my phone and personally remembering when I got off (it still leaves a lot to chance, non? ) work...
I guess I'm just too trusting lazy sometimes.
In any case, the conversation that night was a great deal of fun.
Lover's Point in Monterey is a beautiful place... but check out the distance from Hayward to Monterey.
Yes, we drove all of that and back. Less than an hour and a half, no less, each way. XD
Plus, we spent a bit of time having fun in the park. It was surprisingly nowhere near as cold as I thought it'd be. It was even bordering on tolerable without a jacket! O_O;
We 'defiled' a statue by placing a bottle of Pinot Noir that Nichi found lying around somewhere on the park's premises on a statue of a small boy with a boat who curves his other arm and tried in that limited light to take a picture, but failed miserably. u.u
And yes, we did try to use the light of our cameras to supplement the lacking light. XD Didn't work. >.<;
Too dark. So, no photos of the evening, but it's certainly not one we're going to forget any time soon. XD
I should be getting more than sixty dollars, definitely, for the work I did. A lot more than sixty dollars.... but some of it's gonna go to a present of food for Ci (one of the people who went- the wonderful conversationalist), hopefully a copy of Watchmen that I could currently snag at the local Borders if I ONLY HAD THE MONEEEY! DX Then gas... then paying my mom back. XD
Gotta cover my bases, after all... n_n;
Truthfully, some of the money should go to the library. D=
>.<;
*sigh*
I hate being responsible...
... So I try as often as I can to not be. ^_^
