Chapter IV: Dragon’s Blessing
In the city of Domino many fates are decided by a card game called Duel monsters. It is played with two players. Each player starts out with 4000 life points. Life points are what keep you alive, lose all of your life points, lose the duel. You and your opponent will deduct each other’s life points by attacking with monsters. The monster’s attack points are deducted from your life points. Spell and trap cards can be used to protect or enhance the monster, some cards even have the power to destroy monsters.
The following chapter will have characters playing the game of duel monsters, in fact in the city of Domino, which has become a wretched hell hole of poverty and crime, duel monsters is played not only as sport, but for criminals to get what they want. In ancient times duel monsters was played the same way as it is today in Domino city, in the year 2096. (There is no set time period for this fanfic, sometimes it will be 50 years after battle city, or 100 years, either way all the old characters are dead)
Tomasa had been kept in the Industrial Illusions building (the company responsible for creating the card game duel monsters.) She had been dueling other duelists to see if any of them were worthy to join the D-force, thus far none have made the cut. They don’t actually have to beat her to join, but get her life points down to at least 2000. (Similar ruling in Davaku Vs. Tomasa)
It had been an easy day of duels for Tomasa, she had battled several duelists, her life points hardly being touched. She sighed sitting on the roof of the corporate building sipping a cup of sweet tea. She gazed up at the full moon in the star lit sky. As high as she was the light pollution from the lower city had been less noticeable. She wanted to do something other than beat duelists. Duel after duel of easy victories made her very restless.
A crossed town in the Brown corporate building, Davaku also stood on the roof. He gazed at the moon too. He also wanted a real challenge. After facing the Rainbow dragon had opened his eyes. He needed to reclaim his title as number one duelist. (Sound familiar?) Travis brought him some refreshments. Thinking Davaku was off in his fantasy world of undefeatableness and victories.
Tomasa finished her tea, while Mr. Takahashi came to speak with her “you should be sleeping.”
Her yellow eyes gazed at him boredly “I know… But it is pointless for me to go on like this.”
Alarmed Takahashi’s eyes grew and he went to catch her “don’t do it!” He thought she was contemplating suicide.
Tomasa frowned “not like that…” she was now in the arms of Takahashi who was gripping her tight so that she wouldn’t jump. She pushed him off. “I’m sick of dueling, it’s been a week and nobody has come close… Feh, when I originally came to Domino, dueling capital of the world, I was expecting strong opponents…” She looked down at the city “why is everybody so weak, have they not trained hard enough?”
Takahashi shook his head “nobody duels for their life, they have no reason to try, with all of the crime. The city is soon to fall apart, Davaku thinks D-force is to protect Domino, but the force is to destroy only monsters, the sordid duel technology is not to be used on other humans…”
Shrugging her arms Tomasa headed for the door “oh well, I’m only dueling one more day, then I’m done. If I have to face that monster (Rainbow Dragon) alone, then I shall, find powerful opponents if you want a D-force…” she went inside, leaving Takahashi with the challenge.
Early the next morning was time to duel. Tomasa had her duel disk ready and activated “bring on the first challenge!” she called to the room where Takahashi and Shinoda stood, they were both going to watch her final duels with human opponents.
A duelist wearing silver armor walked in. He was a short boy with glasses and black hair. He had a small bladed helmet on his head, while his golden armor had a built in duel disk on his left hand. He began to spoke. “I am the Stan the Kuriboh king, American champion!”
:Tomasa grinned:4000LP: A champion of America, finally I get to face another elite duelist!
:Stan:4000LP: I’ll start and by start I summon the mighty Kuriboh in attack position! 300/200
Tomasa saw the little Kuriboh and she burst into tears of laughter “ahahahaha! That little cream puff is what you’re the king of?” The Kuriboh hologram which was a small brown puff of hair began to squeak angrily at Tomasa.
:Stan smirked:4000LP: Kuriboh is much stronger than he looks, now I place one card face down, your go.
:Tomasa:4000LP: That lil freak is gonna wish he was never drawn and placed on a duel monsters card. I special summon Cyber Dragon! 2100/1600
Tomasa’s powerful Cyber dragon brought itself onto the field, it’s many silver panels of its body reflecting the little Kuriboh monster.
:Tomasa:4000LP: He will be joined by my Elemental Hero Knospe 600/1000. (Still Jap name) Now I attack with Cyber dragon! Hyper ray!
:Stan:4000LP: I activate my face down card Multiply. It will turn my one Kuriboh into five!
Out from Stan’s one Kuriboh, five others came out in defense mode with 200 points. Cyber Dragon a replay and destroyed the center Kuriboh. Elemental Hero Knospe on the other hand attacked Stan directly. The little seedling monster took out 600 of Stan’s life points, then it increased it’s own attack by 100 and lost 100 in it’s defense.
:Stan:3400LP: My Kuriboh’s are invincible, they will not be destroyed.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Even if they are, you’re not. I place one card face down and call it a turn.
:Stan:3400LP: I have no need to make a move, so go.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Really? Okay, first my Cyber Dragon will pierce another one of your Kuriboh’s then Elemental Hero Knospe will take out 700 of your life points!
The reoccurrence from last turn happened. Cyber Dragon blasted another Kuriboh, while Knospe destroyed 700 more of Stan’s life points, his attack points increased by 100 and defense decreased by 100.
:Stan:2700LP: My poor little Kuribohs… How can you destroy something so cute?
:Tomasa:4000LP: Whaaa???
:Stan:2700LP: I play the spell card United we stand, it will increase my Kuriboh’s attack by 800 for every monster on my side of the field!
:Tomasa frowned:4000LP: I’ve seen that card before…
She recalled Matewaki playing it, in one of their earlier duels. The center Kuriboh’s attack increased by 2400, giving it 2700 attack points.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Not bad… At first I thought you were just blowing smoke about your monster having some sort of cool powers, but I see they work in team work. Well sorry for you, so do mine.
:Stan:2700LP: I play my Kuriboh in attack mode and he attacks your Elemental Hero Knospe!
:Tomasa:4000LP: I’m not going down so fast, I play a trap card Hero Barrier. Why would I leave little Knospe in attack mode and not give him a guard?
:Josh:2700LP: I’ve seen your duel with Davaku, you can’t help but play in attack mode, it’s like you’re demented.
:Tomasa fell over:4000LP: De-demented?!
The hero barrier formed over little Knospe protecting him. It was now Tomasa’s turn.
:Tomasa:4000LP: I’ll begin my turn by playing the spell card Rosebud and with it my little Knospe turns into Elemental Hero Poison Rose 1900/2000
The small seedling evolved, changing into a beautiful plant goddess, it’s poison purple flesh glowed against Cyber dragon’s stainless steel.
:Tomasa:4000LP: She’s about to be joined by Etoile Cyber 1200/1700. Now Etoile Cyber destroy one of the defensive Kuriboh’s, Cyber Dragon do the same!
Both Cyber Dragon and Etoile Cyber eliminated the defensive Kuriboh’s leaving Stan with the United we stand increased Kuriboh. It’s attack power lowered by 800 for each Kuriboh destroyed.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Your Kuriboh’s were a team, but my team is better, now Poison Rose use pedal power!
The poison Rose attacked Stan’s Kuriboh who had only 1100 attack power now. Stan lose 700 life points. Poison rose’s attack power increased by 200 while it’s defense lowered by 200, similar to Knospe 2100/1800. She then set one card face down.
:Stan:2000LP: Ugh… My little Kuribohs…..
Stan began to cry falling to his knees. Tomasa felt bad.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Hey, hey, it’s just a card game ya know…
:Stan angry:2000LP: You will pay! I play the spell card Brain control, it will take control of one of your monsters until the end of the turn and I choose Cyber Dragon.
Tomasa watched as her Cyber Dragon was grabbed by two hands on it’s head. Cyber dragon switched sides. It’s attack evenly matched with Poison Rose.
:Tomasa:4000LP: You lose 800 for playing Brain control.
:Stan:1200LP: So? Now I play the spell card Five Star Twilight!
:Tomasa:4000LP: Five star Twilight?
:Stan nodded:1200LP: By sacrificing a level five monster I get to summon my new army of Kuribohs!
Kuriba a purple version of Kuriboh, Kuribi a pink version of Kuriboh, Kuribu, white version, Kuribe, teal version and Kuriboh himself all came to the field. 300/200
:Tomasa:4000LP: Now you have a Rainbow…
:Stan:1200LP: Now I play the field spell card Kuriboh plasma zone!
A dark vortex appeared from below Tomasa and Stan. Tomasa noticed something weird about the card “isn’t that card Mystic plasma zone?”
:Stan offensive:1200LP: It’s Kuriboh plasma zone!!!
:Tomasa:4000LP: You and your nutty Kuriboh obsession…
:Stan:1200LP: Each Kuriboh monster increases it’s attack by 500 thanks to my Kuriboh’s plasma zone (Mystic plasma zone) Now I sacrifice all five Kuriboh’s to summon Kuri Babylon!
The five Kuriboh’s were replaced by a much darker looking monster. It was in the shape of Kuriboh, but it had yellow hate filled eyes and a horn atop it’s head.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Ohhh, he’s scary…
:Stan:1200LP: He is, because he gains the attack points of each Kuriboh placed into him, that’s 800 times 5! 4000 (plus Mystic plasma zone) 4500
:Tomasa:4000LP: That caught me off guard
Her eyes shook lightly at the mighty Kuri Babylon that stared her down. Her only hope was the face down card she had set.
:Stan's mouth foamed like his Kuri Babylon’s:1200LP: Attack Cyber Etoile!
:Tomasa:4000LP: Go trap card!
Kuribabylon’s attack was redirected to Poison Rose, she tried to hold off the attack, as she began to glow, so did Tomasa and damaged her life points greatly.
:Stan:1200LP: What, why did it attack her?
:Tomasa:2600LP: Her special ability protects my other monsters. She is the mother of my deck.
:Stan:1200LP: So, even if she did, you should be at 1600!
:Tomasa smirked:2600LP: I had a trap, remember? Elemental recharge, it increased my life points by 1000 for each Elemental Hero on my side of the field, sorry if that bugs you.
:Josh frowned:1200LP: Make your turn!
:Tomasa:2600LP: Let’s see… Ah, taking control of a monster! I play Enemy controller. Usually I would use this card to protect me, but instead I’m going to use it to take control of your monster, by sacrificing my own.
Tomasa’s video game controller materialized in her hands “Up, down, left, right, A, A, B, B, C, C” she pressed the controls (one of the Sega Genesis Jurassic park codes) and Cyber Etoile disappeared while Kuri Babylon took its place.
:Stan:1200LP: No… My mighty monster, you will pay!
:Tomasa:2600LP: Let’s see, with no monsters and no face downs, you have nothing to protect yourself. This duel ends! Kuri Babylon attack! 4500/1000
Tomasa’s using Stan’s mighty Kuri Babylon used it’s ultimate attack force against it’s original owner. However Stan was covered in a veil of a million Kuribohs.
:Tomasa frowned:2600LP: What is this?!
:Stan:1200LP: I discarded a Kuriboh from my hand, it protected my life points from all attack damage.
:Tomasa cringed:2600LP: I place one monster in defense mode and call it a turn…
Tomasa was depressed to be hiding behind a defense. It was now Stan’s turn. He declared an attack with his mighty beast, blasting away Tomasa’s Avian defense monster. Mr. Takahashi felt this might be the duel that will increase the number of the D-force. Shinoda wasn’t quite sure.
:Tomasa:2600LP: I summon Elemental Hero Bursty in attack mode 1200/800. Now I play Miracle Fusion, this will fuse my Bursty with any monster in my graveyard and I choose Avian, together they will create Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer in defense position.
:Stan:1200LP: It doesn’t matter, I will destroy him with my mighty Kuribabylon! Attack!
Kuribabylon attacked Phoenix Enforcer, but the attack did absolutely nothing. Phoenix Enforcer remained.
:Stan:1200LP: What, not fair!
:Tomasa:2600LP: Now you see, you have a monster with endless attack, while my limitless defense will keep me alive. Hmph, and people say I am attack deranged!
“She created a monster that can’t be destroyed?!” Mr. Takahashi was shocked.
Shinoda fixed his glasses “and with it being in defense position her life points will be safe.”
:Stan:1200LP: How am I supposed to beat that?
:Tomasa drew:2600LP: Not by attacking. I’m going to exploit your monster’s weakness next turn. I place one card face down.
:Stan:1200LP: All of my Kuriboh monster’s weaknesses are their strength. I now…
Stan hopelessly looked at his hand. He had nothing that could destroy Phoenix Enforcer. He called it a turn.
:Tomasa:2600LP: What no attack? Looks like I stopped you, now I’m going to finish you. I activate Zero Gravity, this will put my monster in attack position and yours into defense position and with Kuri Babylon’s weak defense it is no match for Enforcer!
:Stan:1200LP: No, and all of my Kuribohs are in the graveyard!
:Tomasa:2600LP: I summon Elemental Hero Stratos 1800/300. First Phoenix will destroy Kuri Babylon, then Stratos will finish you off!
Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer attacked Kuri Babylon, burning the mighty monster away. Stratos then zapped Stan’s life points all the way to zero. Stan cried, wishing his Kuriboh’s didn’t die. “Come on, you did better than most duelists…” she tried to cheer him up, but it was fruitless. He left angry, because he’s American and he’s going to go back to America.
Tomasa looked at the time, the day was still very young, so yet another duel awaited her. A man with black hair in a small pony tail and a blue and red kimono. He was a very intellectual duelist. He looked at his deck and prayed upon it. His hand was held in front of his face. “May divine intervention cast a favorable outcome in my next duel.” His voice was calm and optimistic. He walked out onto the battle field and saw Tomasa already prepared with her duel disk.
The vision of the young golden haired duelist made him crack a smile “such a kind looking face you have, perhaps this duel should be more interesting than I thought.”
Tomasa blinked “so where you from?”
“Ah, forgive my rudeness, I am Andy Rhodes from Hokkaido, but I have spent my latest years residing in India helping severed souls.” The man properly introduced himself.
“India?” Tomasa began to wonder how duelists heard of the D-force challenge. She was imagining if they had commercials or personals in the paper, scratch the paper thing, in the year 2096 there is no news paper.
“Well you seem to be a monk?” Tomasa reviewed the man’s dressings.
He smiled “you could say that, but I am here to save the world from the tyranny of evil, not to defeat you, but if it can’t be helped than here we go” he placed his left hand upward and activated his duel disk, his life point counter set to 4000. He offered Tomasa the first move for being so beautiful.
:Tomasa:4000LP: You’re either a creep or a gentlemen, I don’t intend to find out. I start by activating the spell card polymerization. This will fuse Elemental heroes Avian and Bursty (Burstinatrix) to create Elemental hero Flamewingman. 2100/1200
:Andy:4000LP: Ah, a very powerful start. Now let’s see if I can do as well.
Andy drew his card, studying it closely “the heavens have blessed my hand, now I start by playing the spell card Future Fusion. I send five dragon’s from my deck to the graveyard, and in two turns the great dragon will be summoned.” Hearing this Tomasa recalled her duel with Davaku where he used Future Fusion to summon Destiny End Dragon.
:Tomasa:4000LP: That can’t be good…
:Andy:4000LP: Aye, not for you my dear, but I intend to attack this turn as well. I activate the mystical Dragon’s mirror spell card. It is polymerization for Dragons, but it works in the graveyard. I fuse my Red Eyes Black Dragon and Meteor Dragon that have fallen to my grave to call forth the all powerful Meteor Black Dragon! 3500/2000
:Tomasa:4000LP: Such powerful natural ability!
A veil of darkness cast onto Andy’s graveyard and out from it came a large set of jaws, after that a large black dragon, covered in armor and in-between the armored body there was fire. The monster held it’s head up high and was willing to be destructive.
:Andy:4000LP: Now you see it’s mighty power, the Meteor black dragon is one of the strongest monsters in the game, unfortunately it’s high attack, resolves in low spiritual powers, but he is strong none the last. Now attack with Meteor flame!
The dragon opened it’s large jaw and shot a mighty blast of energy, completely obliterating flamewingman and doing much damage to Tomasa’s life points. She stood up, the damage she received brought her such pleasure. She was still rearing to go.
:Andy:4000LP: Ah, your fusion was powerful, but not near so my dragon. Now I place one card face down and call it a turn.
:Tomasa growled a little:2600LP: 2600 again? Well I’ll match your dragon’s attack and perhaps be even strong! I call forth Elemental Hero Sparkman and play Miracle fusion. Like your dragon’s mirror this card fuses my monsters from the graveyard and Sparkman to create Elemental hero Shining Flarewingman 2500/2100
Flamewingman and Sparkman formed together to create Tomasa’s Flarewingman, her strongest Elemental Hero.
:Andy:4000LP: Your monster is still missing a few attack points.
:Tomasa grinned:2600LP: You’d think so? I discard Elemental Hero Captain Gold to the graveyard to pull Skyscraper from my deck. Now I activate the field spell.
Buildings surrounded Shining Flarewingman and Meteor Black Dragon. “This will boost Shining Flarewingman’s attack by 1000, but then again he also gains 300 for each Elemental Hero in my graveyard, which is now 3. He attacks!” Shining flarewingman held it’s arm out firing a powerful ray of energy toward Andy’s Meteor black dragon. Andy activated a trap card, while Shining Flarewingman’s 4400 attack points completely obliterated Meteor Black Dragon.
:Tomasa grinned:2600LP: And that’s game!
:Andy:4000LP: I’m afraid not.
Tomasa gasped seeing Andy’s life points still intact, even after such a strong blast. Shining flare wingman’s special ability didn’t even deduct his points. “How?” Tomasa wanted to know.
:Andy:4000LP: I played the trap card Hallowed life barrier, all it protects my life points from any damage what so ever. Of course I must discard one card, but that is a small price to pay for remaining in this duel.
:Tomasa:2600LP: Way to go… Make your move.
:Andy:4000LP: Ah, one more turn and I’ll have my fusion monster, so for this turn I shall merely place one monster in face down defense position and pray.
His hands were placed together in front of his mouth as he ended his turn. Tomasa made her turn and summoned Cyber Valley in attack mode. 0/0 Then she attacked with her shining flarewingman which destroyed Andy’s defense monster.
:Andy:4000LP: You destroyed my Troop dragon and when he is destroyed another takes it’s place. 700/800
:Tomasa:2600LP: My Elemental hero’s special ability damages your life points for Troop dragon’s attack points.
:Andy:3300LP: No matter, a small sacrifice to make, but now behold my all mighty Five Headed Dragon! 5000/5000
The future fusion chamber opened and out came several different limbs. Each one was a neck. One was metallic, another was fire, the third was ice, the fourth was darkness and the final was golden. The dragon’s attack points were unbelievably strong. Tomasa gulped seeing the powerful monster. She gulped, then grinned, knowing she would lose several life points, but was still unworried about it.
:Andy:3300LP: This is just the beginning of my all powerful dragon entourage, for now he attacks your Flarewingman!
Tomasa’s wingman was hit and was demolished into little particles of light. Tomasa held her duel disk over her face, then she was hit with the rest of the blast. Her life points deduced by a large amount, caused her to moan, then groan in pain, she lost to many to enjoy the battle damage. She growled standing weakly.
:Tomasa:1000LP: This duel ends…
:Andy:3300LP: I agree for I cannot possibly go on. I passed the challenge that is all perfectly fine for me.
:Tomasa:1000LP: No! That is not fine, it is time for you to lose!
Andy looked into Tomasa’s eyes. He noticed them changed from green to yellow, something was transforming within her. Her hair became less golden, while it seemed all of her beautiful colors disappeared, skin paler, even her clothes lost their skew. Andy sensed something dark emerging. Mr. Takahashi and Shinoda saw this and remembered it was the same way Tomasa became after Davaku brought her life points down by a considerable amount.
:Tomasa grinning evilly:1000LP: Are you ready?
Her hand was on her deck emitting something dark. Andy’s power of foresight could see this. He gazed at Tomasa’s top card, something evil was coming for him.
“It’s happening” Mr. Takahashi sat up watching the duel closely.
“You mean the darkness from Davaku’s duel with her?” Shinoda gulped a bit.
Mr. Takahashi nodded “now we can witness Yubel once again.”
:Andy:3300LP: I forfeit the duel, there is no need to continue.
:Tomasa:1000LP: Afraid to lose? You can’t walk away! I…
As she drew, she noticed Andy’s eyes were closed, his hands were placed together. He was praying. Tomasa looked at the card she drew. It was Yubel. She also had Monster reborn and De-fusion, two ways to summon Yubel. I must play it, this person must suffer, as I suffered, my life points, he took them away without remorse, now I shall do the same! Tomasa’s thoughts were clouded with anger and hatred. She smirked looking at Andy pray.
:Tomasa:1000LP: Do you think that will help?
:Andy:3300LP: You will not summon Yubel.
:Tomasa grinned wider:1000LP: You seem so sure…
She had the power to do it, but as she watched her opponent pray she couldn’t exactly make a decision. Something was happening to her, she could feel her anger dissipate. Andy’s spiritual power was calming her soothing her. Her eyes changed from yellow and became greener again. Andy’s eyes remained closed, he concentrated on calming Tomasa using his powers.
:Tomasa:1000LP: I set one card face down and call it a move…
Mr. Takahashi and Shinoda saw this, they both gasped. They could have sworn Tomasa was to obliterate Andy using Yubel.
:Andy:3300LP: You did not play Yubel.
:Tomasa:1000LP: I know… I want to though, so bad…
:Andy:3300LP: I am grateful, but you wanted this duel to continue so… I attack with Five Headed Dragon!
:Tomasa still feeling numb:1000LP: I use Valley’s special ability to draw one card and end your battle phase.
:Andy:3300LP: Now I’m about to call out the card of judgment. I play Mausoleum of the emperor.
:Tomasa:1000LP: I play De-fusion to depart your Five Headed dragon!
:Andy:3300LP: No, I’m too late!
As Andy’s large church like building was activated, the city from Skyscraper disappeared. Five headed dragon was separated and disappeared due to De-fusion. Tomasa smiled happily, seeing the mighty monster disappear.
:Tomasa:1000LP: Using fusion cards against my deck’s a bad idea!
:Andy:3300LP: I will use my Mausoleum’s effect and pay 2000 life points to summon Light and Darkness Dragon 2800/2400
A two-faced dragon came to Andy’s side of the field. One side was white, while the other was completely black. The dragon was both a light and a dark monster. Tomasa saw the two-faced monster and grinned.
:Tomasa:1000LP: He’s not so tough
:Andy:1300LP: The strength is not what makes him strong, he is the monster of your judgment. Look as it has two different sides. One of light and one of darkness… Similar to you on one hand you use good and hero monsters to duel, yet you also harbor a monster of evil such as Yubel in your deck.
:Tomasa drew:1000LP: I’ll destroy your monster with your own monster, I play monster reborn to summon Meteor Black dragon from your graveyard! 3500/2000
:Andy’s eyes were closed:1300LP: Think again. Light and Darkness dragon negates all effects you can play. Though it loses 500 attack points. 2300/2400
Meteor Black Dragon disappeared and Monster Reborn was negated. Tomasa could no longer use Yubel, but the other cards in her hand were playable. “I place one monster in face down defense position and call it a turn.” Tomasa was now going on the defense.
:Andy:1300LP: I place Troop dragon in attack position then Light and darkness dragon will attack your defense position monster!
:Tomasa:1000LP: You destroyed my Wroughtreiller, this lets me grab one poly-
:Andy:1300LP: Nope, Light and Darkness Dragon can negate any effect, magic, trap and monster, your Wroughtreiller fails. Now Troop dragon attack! 700/800
Tomasa lost 700 more life points leaving her at 300. She groaned drawing “Your light and darkness Dragon is even weaker, but with your troop Dragon in attack position I will destroy you!” Andy had a dreadful feeling that his Light and Darkness dragon may have left him trapped. His most costly mistake was going after Tomasa’s life points.
:Tomasa:300LP: I place one card face down and summon Elemental Hero stratos. 1800/300 Guess what he has an effect and because it’s being negated your Light and darkness Dragon loses more attack points!
:Andy:1300LP: Very good, realizing my dragon’s weakness…
:Tomasa:300LP: Stratos destroy Troop dragon!
Stratos destroyed Andy’s troop dragon, damaging his life points. The troop dragon was supposed to summon another Troop dragon, but was unable to due to Light and Darkness Dragon again. 800/400
:Tomasa:300LP: So much for your mighty monster. You are mere points from loss, so I place one card face down and call it a turn.

:Tomasa:300LP: First I summon Elemental Hero Lady Heat in attack mode 1300/1000
The newest Elemental Hero of Tomasa’s deck came to field in a veil of flames. She was a little orangish gal, with a golden crown, her green eyes and determined expression matched Tomasa’s. With Andy having one monster she sealed the duel for Tomasa. Tomasa had Stratos destroy Light and Darkness dragon. The mighty beast fell into a cloud of black and white smoke. Andy could only smile.
“When Light and darkness dragon is destroyed he has a special ability. I send all cards I control to the graveyard and my Meteor Black Dragon returns to the field!” 3500/2000 The meteor Black dragon returned as it came, ferocious and angry. Tomasa had just beat one difficult monster now to fight another.
:Tomasa still smiled:300LP: Too bad he won’t be of help.
:Andy:200LP: I understand… Well, this had been a fine duel, and you can win without Yubel.
Tomasa knew her Lady Heat’s special ability had the duel clenched, but she stared at her Yubel card. She felt no hatred. The prayer Andy cast upon her, made her not as angry, she actually felt refreshed, but also felt like she was betraying Yubel. Sadly she pointed to Lady heat “use your special ability weaken his life points by 200 for each Elemental Hero I control…” Her voice was of joy and of sadness at the same time. First Andy’s last 200 life points were deducted. He was hit with a bit of over kill to, though it didn’t matter. He was done.
“There you have it, you won’t be in D-force alone.” Andy smiled.
Tomasa nodded, she was still looking at the Yubel card in her hand. She felt it’s sorrow and loneliness. Andy was now a member of D-force. After a week of long grueling duels, one duelist has moved into the ranking. Mr. Takahashi congratulated Andy. He took him to the other room to explain the true purpose of D-force. Shinoda stood by Tomasa “you did not play Yubel, why?”
She wasn’t sure herself “It was not necessary.” She didn’t like explaining things and just walked away. That duel made her feel better about herself. Andy’s prayers worked on keeping Yubel and her hatred at bay.
Back to Davaku’s head quarters. (Thousands of miles away, not really) He was studying Tomasa’s deck and redesigning his. He knew what he had to do. The Yubel card was on his main monitor and he examined it closely. He realized the way to defeat that card is by using Destiny Hero Doom lord. A monster that can remove cards from play temporarily. Travis walked up behind him “getting a bit obsessive now?”
“Travis, prepare my duel disk” Davaku turned to him smirking, planning his rematch against Tomasa. This time he would win and defeat Yubel.

Stan Hoppenchopper (The Kuriboh King)
He was not given a last name for his debut duel, but this Kuriboh duelist is a combination of characters. He is young and loves his monster like little pets, while his appearance is similar to Syrus from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, except he’s wearing Kuriboh armor
Andy Rhodes
A monk and a duelist, Andy is faithful. I’ve been watching a lot of Inuyasha lately so I derived his appearance, and personality from the character Miroku. His deck is a sacred dragon deck and with his good intentions he has cleared Tomasa of her attacking obsession, for their duel anyways.

While Tomasa has yet to have a back story, her deck is like a family. Poison Rose is mother (mother Earth), Cyber Dragons are guard dogs (because of their power,) and Avian is the annoying crazy uncle. However where does Yubel fit in this family. The card itself represents Tomasa. In Yu-Gi-Oh! D-force every card played is a symbol for the characters personality. Davaku’s fallen heroes, Stan’s cuteness? (Mmm… No) Josh’s incompetence and Andy’s reliability and faith.
