Yu-Gi-Oh! D-Force
Chapter III: Destiny Rising
On one of the smaller Marshall Islands there was a legend. It said that the rain bow’s cast there from rainstorms were created by the loving god Rainbow Dragon. He would always bring rain showers to the farmers so that their crops would give off life and feed the farmers. Everybody had a mutual happiness.
One day however the friendship between Rainbow dragon and the villagers was silenced in screams. The atom bomb was fired. The Island that Rainbow Dragon resided became infected. Rainbow Dragon himself, became black and mutated into a horrific beast that would bring only destruction. He slept for some time, but in the year 2046, he has awakened and it is now up to the D-Force to bring him down. (Filler opening paragraph, and as a character Rainbow dragon deserves an introduction paragraph or two)
In the dank, dark cave lit up by the light of active computer monitors Davaku examines his duel with Tomasa closely in a recorded. His mind had been made up, something happened. He had her on the ropes the entire match, but she pulled through. Travis walked in with a platter of soup.
“I prepared a little supper sir…” He spoke directly to Davaku.
On the video Davaku rewound it to where Yubel was summoned, the hologram of the monster was there in perfect sight, but Davaku recalls it being a shadow “this is where things went wrong…” The part where Davaku attacked had occur. The blonde was wearing just a dress shirt and pants, no shoes and socks. He swiveled his chair to another monitor, the card data base system and he looked up the duel monster Yubel, for he had never seen that card before.
“I say we move on from that little excursion and let bygones be bygones” Travis politely suggested.
Davaku shook his head “no, something happened, I felt it… I did not want to attack.” He calmly paused the other monitor where Destiny End Dragon attacked, it was not like he remembered. Yubel was just a hologram “it was living when I saw it, I know.”
“Perhaps you’re over spent, you haven’t slept in days after all” Travis placed an arm on the determined man’s shoulders.
“Something about that girl… It doesn’t matter… I’m not forming D-force, not after that, I’ll be my own D-force” Davaku eyed his deck in the monitor light, it was sitting beside a computer mouse.
Travis sighed “be calm about it, I’m sure…”
“Calm, Travis? Do you know what just happened? My title was taken away by an unknown girl!” He threw the monitor showing the duel on the floor smashing it.
“Titles are nothing to be worried about, or have you forgotten you have a company to run?” The butler brought up a valid point.
“My company is fine, but my dueling prowess must be feared!” He growled a bit “I’m going to wipe Domino of all of the criminal duelists that inhabit it and I don’t need D-force for that!”
Travis looked at another monitor “reclaim your title then, see over there on monitor 13, it appears Tomasa is in another duel.”
Not caring about watching Tomasa’s duel, Davaku shut down all the monitors and headed out of the cave, leaving Travis with his dish of soup “Well… I suppose I’ll enjoy this supper then, eh.”
Tomasa had just walked out of the Industrial Illusions head quarters, where she spent the night was surrounded by a crowd of screaming girls. They were all furious that the golden haired duelist had defeated Davaku and they all had duel disks ready to reclaim his title for him. Mr. Takahashi walked out and began to help clear the way for Tomasa to walk, but she smirked, activating her duel disk.
:Tomasa determined:4000LP: Come on, I’ll take on any one of you!
A red headed girl with a chest that was bustier than Tomasa’s stepped up, she had her duel disk rearing to go and like Tomasa had greenish yellow eyes.
:Bethy:4000LP: I’m Beth and I’ll avenge my sweetie pie Davaku! You will lose this duel
:Tomasa smirked:4000LP: Big words for a groupie
:Bethy:4000LP: You’re just jealous because my chest is bigger!
:Tomasa frowned, squeezing her own chest a bit, the large orbs squishing:4000LP: Mine’s plenty big. I’ll start! I summon Cyber Valley in attack mode and end my turn! 0/0
:Bethy:4000LP: I play Harpie lady 1 in attack mode! 1300/1400
A female monster with bird wings and feathers covering her voluptuous body came to the field, her hair and eyes similar to Bethy’s.
:Bethy:4000LP: Since she’s on the field all wind monsters increase their attacks by 300! Now I play three Elegant egotist cards, this will summon 2 new Harpie Lady 1s and one Harpie lady sisters 1950/2000.
Since Bethy had three Harpie lady 1s on the field all wind monsters increased their attacks by 900. 2200/1400 x 2 2850/2000
:Bethy:4000LP: This was too easy, now I attack!
:Tomasa grinned:4000LP: Maybe for me, I sacrifice Cyber Valley, that means the battle phase ends and I draw a card!
The mechanical snake like creature Cyber valley was removed from the game, Bethy’s battle phase was put to an immediate halt and Tomasa drew a card.
:Bethy:4000LP: Well, then go, not even your Flamewingman can take my monsters out
:Tomasa drew:4000LP: I see… Well then I play Polymerization Fusing Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater to create Cyber Blader!2100/800
:Bethy grinned:4000LP: That monster stands no chance against mine!
:Tomasa snickered:4000LP: Ever heard the phrase odds are worse in numbers?
:Bethy:4000LP: It’s odds is better in numbers.
:Tomasa:4000LP: Not this time, Cyber Blader has three effects. First is if you have one monster on the field she can’t be destroyed in battle, next up is if you have two monsters on the field her attack is doubled, finally and third if you have three monsters she gets those two effects plus all the effects of your spell, trap and monsters are negated! (Fact: Cyber Blader’s three effects won’t be activated at once, but I’m not going to correct this, it’s only a fanfic, Tomasa probably won’t be playing that card again anyways ^__^)
Cyber blader had her arms crossed in her red and white leotard as her attack doubled, while Bethy’s monsters lost their power boost. 4200/800
:Tomasa:4000LP: Now she’ll attack your Harpie lady 1!
Cyber Blader, used it’s hover blades to get from one side of field to the other and struck Bethy’s Harpie lady 1 severely damaging her life points. Bethy got up from the attack groaning.
:Tomasa laughing happily:4000LP: Hahahaha, you really are dumb!
:Bethy:1100LP: Stop laughing, we’re far from done, I set one card face down in my spell and trap card zone and place both monsters to defense position.
:Tomasa:4000LP: I play the magic card Enemy controller and with it, I can put your Harpie Lady 1 back into attack position.
Tomasa got her video game controller and began pressing buttons up, down, left, right, a, b, c and Harpie lady 1 was pulled into attack position.
:Tomasa grinned:4000LP: Let me just remind you with three monsters on your field any trap card you’re planning on playing won’t save you!
Tomasa attacked with Cyber Blader, taking Bethy’s life points down to zero. After Bethy was defeated several other females wanted more of Tomasa. Mr. Takahashi urged Tomasa to disembark and go with him, but she didn’t listen then all of a sudden a shower of red rose pedals filled the air.
“Thy lustrous young maiden has yielded several more young maidens” a familiar voice was followed by the rose pedals. Tomasa’s face became pale. Matewaki Passerluno had stepped onto the playing field in front of Tomasa “those who can defeat me shall date with me entangling and embracing our love and my opponent shall be…” he turned to look at Tomasa, but she was gone.
“Phwew, that was close…” Tomasa and Mr. Takahashi ran behind the industrial Illusions building “that guy gives me the creeps, now what do you have to show me?”
Frowning Mr. Takahashi took Tomasa’s hand and led her to another building, there they went up an elevator. The building itself seemed to be very top secret, Tomasa was confused looking at everything. (She gets dragged around a lot.) Mr. Takahashi brought her into a meeting room where several other men were standing.
“So what’s this all about?” She looked around at the four other men.
“Please Ms. Derru, have a seat” a man with glasses had a soothing voice to calm her.
“Ah, introductions, this is Shirijawa Kateru he is with the FBI, this is Sato Otiji head of the self defense force, Shinoda Katagiri our scientist (man with the glasses and cool hair cut, oh I forgot to mention that, it looks as if angels styled it) and John Wilson, the American.” Mr. Takahashi explained. As each one formerly greeted Tomasa.
“Woah, FBI? Head of defense, I didn’t do anything!” She began walking toward the door.
Shinoda held his hand out “wait, you are not in trouble we assure you, we are just trying to decide whether you are going to be part of D-force.”
Tomasa looked back at him “why wouldn’t I be, I defeated Davaku, didn’t I?”
Mr. Takahashi nodded “yes, but you see… We haven’t had any contact with him since the duel, we believe your dueling skills may be a little too harsh.”
The golden hair girl sighed “so you’re just here to judge me, huh? Well if that is the case I want no part of D-force.” She placed her hand on the door opening it.
“It’s not that, what it is, is if Davaku does not respond to any of our calls you may be D-force’s only hope for recruitment. What you did to him was brutal, but we just need to know if we can trust you” Shinoda quickly explained in his quiet, calming voice.
“What you did to Davaku was powerful will you be able to do it again and if so can you use it to help us?”
A wink came from the girl “dueling is my specialty.”
Back at Davaku’s own personal duel dome, he was having duels with other duelists, not for the concept of creating D-force, but just so could make himself feel better with a few easy wins. The first duelist was the regional champ Josh. (That’s right I brought him back! He might win, maybe? Is anybody rooting for that kid?)
biggrin avaku:4000LP: Regional champ huh? Go!
:Josh:4000LP: You’re going down
biggrin avaku frowned:4000LP: Right…
:Josh:2000LP: I activate Final countdown, it costs me half of my life points to activate, but in 20 turns I win!
biggrin avaku:4000LP: Now I understand how you won your twenty person duel! Pathetic…
Davaku’s attitude was exceptionally cruel, because he wanted to win quickly. Josh placed one monster in defense position.
biggrin avaku:4000LP: I play the powerful spell card Raigeki. It destroys your monster!
Josh’s face down monster was obliterated by Raigeki.
biggrin avaku rolled his eyes:4000LP: Too damn easy… Now play Destiny draw, by discarding one destiny hero I get to draw 2 new cards, now I use Malicious’s special ability to special summon another Destiny Hero malicious from my deck. 800/800
:Josh:2000LP: He’s no match
biggrin avaku:4000LP: No, but now I summon Destiny Hero Double dude. 1000/1000 He has the ability to attack twice in one battle phase. So long Josh!
Malicious disappeared and Destiny Hero double dude took its place and attacked Josh once, cutting his life points in half and then again making him go down to zero. What did you expect? Now it was time for Davaku to duel his next opponent. It was a duelist by the name of John, he had a red beard and wore glasses and a hat, and he was dressed in a green suit.
:John:4000LP: It’s time to duel, I’ll start by playing the card Painful choice, this spell card takes any five cards from my deck and then I show them to you, you choose one of the cards and It goes to my hand.
John presented the five cards to make Exodia to Davaku. (If you have all five cards of Exodia in your hand you win the duel, it’s like a puzzle monster)
biggrin avaku frowned seeing the Exodia cards:4000LP: Perhaps this duel may be a bit interest, I choose The right leg of forbidden one.
:John nodded:4000LP: Now I place one monster in face down defense position and end my turn.
biggrin avaku drew:4000LP: I’ll start by summoning Destiny Hero Diamond dude 1400/1600. Since he is on my field I draw one card from my deck and if it is a spell card I play it.
Davaku drew and “Ah Over Destiny, a spell card.” He threw it in his graveyard and played another spell card called Destiny Draw “by discarding one Destiny Hero monster from my hand, I get to draw two new cards.” Davaku drew then played the field spell card Clock Tower Prison. A giant clock tower came to the field and it was covered in chains.
biggrin avaku:4000LP: During each of your standby phases my large tower gets on counter, when it has four counters I no longer will lose life points, but unfortunately with you planning to use Exodia against me that doesn’t matter does it?
:John politely:4000LP: You will never know.
biggrin avaku:4000LP: Your monster in defense mode is most likely the last Exodia piece, so my Diamond dude will attack it!
Diamond dude threw several different diamonds at the defense monster and it was the right leg of Exodia. Davaku called it a turn and now it was John’s move.
biggrin avaku:4000LP: With your turn beginning my clock tower Prison gains one counter, three more and I’ll be invincible.
:John:4000LP: You aren’t yet, so I activate Contract with Exodia, it can only be played when I have all five pieces of Exodia in my graveyard, it allows me to summon the mighty Exodia Necross! 1800/0
A monster very similar to Exodia, but black came to the field, he looked angry and he obliterated Diamond dude with his mighty powered blast. Davaku lost 400 life points.
biggrin avaku:3600LP: Your monster isn’t all powerful. I know what it and it can’t be destroyed, but your life points are another story. Now my Over Destiny card activates, it selects one Destiny Hero monster in my graveyard and allows me to special summon a Destiny hero monster from my deck with less than half of the level of that monster, which is destiny Hero malicious who has a level of 8. I call out Destiny Hero Dread servant! 400/700
Another one of the clock towers token slots was lit. John automatically figured it was part of the monsters special ability.
biggrin avaku:3600LP: That’s right, dread servant does add one counter to my prison, now I use my Destiny Hero Malicious’s special ability, it allows me to special summon a copy of him from my deck by removing him from the graveyard. 800/800 Now I summon Destiny hero doom lord 600/800 and sacrifice all three of them to summon out Destiny Hero Dogma! 3400/2400
Davaku’s Dogma broke onto the field, it’s bulging muscles and unstoppable powers seemed too much for John’s Exodia Necross to handle, Davaku had his mighty monster strangle Exodia Necross, however it wasn’t destroyed.
:John:2400LP: My Exodia necross cannot be destroyed.
biggrin avaku sighing because the duel is too easy:3400LP: Your move.
As John drew the clock tower prison gained yet another counter, now it had three. Dogma’s special ability began to cut John’s life points in half, the poor man was cut by it, and luckily the monster wasn’t real.
:John:1200LP: Exodia Necross gains 500 attack points in my standby phase.
biggrin avaku:3400LP: Doesn’t matter, my destiny is to win, nothing can stop me!
He was referring to his duel with Tomasa, then Davaku’s mind left the duel. He remembered the photos of Rainbow dragon and how he should go after it alone. “I am D-force!”
:John:1200LP: Maybe so, but Exodia Necross is still here and he is about to be joined by another Exodia monster, behold Exodios the ultimate Forbidden god! ?/? By sending all the monster cards in my graveyard he is summoned to the field.
Now an even larger Exodia monster was played, it’s attack points where undetermined, but his size was immensely greater than that of Dogma. Davaku just smirked at the Exodios.
biggrin avaku:3600LP: Although I’ve never seen this card, his attack is weak, what can he possibly do?
:John:1200LP: So much for with each normal monster in my graveyard he gains 1000 life points.
biggrin avaku:3600LP: Too bad ya have none…
:John:1200LP: I will when I play this, Magical shard evacuation, by discarding two cards from my hand I get one magic card from my Graveyard and I pick Painful choice, which I now play.
John picked five normal monster cards from his deck, Davaku gave him one called Soul Tiger. Exodios’s attack became 4000, enough to destroy Dogma, he attacked. Davaku used a card from his hand known as Destiny Hero Blade master, by discarding it all Destiny hero monsters increased their attacks by 800, making Dogma have 4200.
:John had a small grin:1200LP: A part of Exodios’s effect is when he attacks he sends one monster from my deck to the graveyard and I choose Right Arm of forbidden one.
Exodios’s attack increased and it pierced right through Davaku’s Dogma, and damaged his life points by 800. Exodia Necross then attacked doing 2300. Davaku was left with a mere 300 life points. He was beaten bad by the monsters, but he wasn’t out.
biggrin avaku:300LP: Is that it?
:John nodded:1200LP: It is.
biggrin avaku:300LP: Good, because your strategy was too little, too late in your next turn my Clock tower will gain one counter and I’ll immortal, as my destiny has claimed, so I pass.
:John:1200LP: Your destiny is off, because I attack with Exodios!!!
Davaku’s clock tower gained it’s final counter, Exodia necross gained 500 more attack. Exodios attacked Davaku, it was ineffective, so it seemed. Another piece of Exodia was discarded to the graveyard.
biggrin avaku:300LP: Why are you still attacking when it is futile? This duel is over, you can’t harm my life points.
:John:1200LP: There are more than one way to play Exodia, another way is through Exodios. When all five parts reach my graveyard you’re finished, and so far I have two.
biggrin avaku:300LP: Then I guess I have to stop you… I place one monster in face down defense position and call it a turn.
:John:1200LP: I’m interesting in seeing your plan, for my Exodios currently has 6000 attack and shall now gain more as I attack your defense monster.
Exodios attacked Davaku’s monster, blowing it to pieces, throwing another piece of Exodia into John’s graveyard.
biggrin avaku:300LP: You destroyed Destiny Hero Fear monger, which means in my next turn I’ll be able to summon any Destiny hero I want from the graveyard and I choose Destiny Hero Doom lord. 600/800 I’ll use his special ability to remove your Exodios from the game for two turns,
The mighty Exodios with 7000 attack was taken out of play, leaving John with his still powerful Exodia Necross. 2800/0
biggrin avaku:300LP: Now I use my malicious’s effect to special summon another Malicious 800/800, then I normal summon Destiny Hero Captain Tenacious 800/800 and sacrifice all three to special summon Elemental Hero Plasma! 1900/600 He will take possession of your Exodios Necross and end my turn.
A pool of blood spurted onto the field and Destiny Hero plasma returned, wrenching Exodia Necross into its arms giving it more attack points. 2800/0 It was now John’s turn and he placed his soul tiger in defense position. 0/2100
biggrin avaku frowned:300LP: You had me on the ropes for a moment, but your basic strategy of Exodia is shot, now I shall claim victory! I play Raigeki which will clear the field of that nuisance then, plasma shall burn away the rest of your life points!
Davaku’s was playing like clockwork, he had traps in his hand that could have saved his life points earlier on in the duel, but he was thinking of what he was going to do after the match. Travis walked in with refreshments as he saw the Soul Tiger get blown away as well as the diminishment of John’s life points. Davaku grinned “good duel, but your power is useless, now get out of my dome!”
John obliged and congratulated him disappearing. Davaku took one of the glasses of wine, pounding it down “cancel all other appointments and duel challenges, my next step is solo.”
Travis sighed, disliking Davaku’s singleness “and by what is it you intend to do now sir?”
He grinned “defeat the real challenge.”
Mean while, thousands of miles away…
Tomasa had sensor bandages on her forehead and her duel disk was out, she was facing a duel computer for the thirtieth time. Aso, I mean Mr. Takahashi and Shinoda Katagiri were studying her performance in the other room.
:Tomasa:4000LP: This is boring, humans are way tougher to fight… I play Cyber Valley and call it a turn.
:Computer:4000LP: Set one card face down and summon Injection Fairy Lily 400/1500 and attack!
The duel computers life points dropped by 2000, but Fairy lily’s attack rose to 3400. Tomasa sighed sacrificing her Valley to draw a new card and end the battle phase, the life points that the computer sacrificed were returned to it, because Fairy’s effect could not take place without the damage step happening, because the battle phase is broke up into different steps, you can’t just attack that would be too easy. (This game is damn hard to figure out, but once you get used to it, it’s cake)
:Tomasa:4000LP: I play Polymerization, fusing my two Cyber dragons to create Cyber twin dragon! 2800/2100. It attacks!
The cyber twin dragon’s first attack was sent back to Tomasa’s life points by a trap card called Magic cylinder. Tomasa groaned in pain, her hair becoming wild as if she had been doing something very strenuous. (Because card Yu-Gi-Oh! Is strenuous) Tomasa then used Cyber twin’s second attack, the poor lily got destroyed completely. As Tomasa’s life points deducted the motion thingies on her forehead responded and the computer showed that she was experiencing joy, even though she was now using the new duel technology. The new duel disks were created to originally kill the player by draining their blood, but Tomasa suggested it just make the player weak and unconscious for an extended period of time.
Tomasa then played the spell card De-fusion, which separated her Twin headed Cyber dragon and turned it into two dragons, one by one they blasted away the duel computers life points with their cybernetic stream of destruction.
Through the speakers Mr. Takahashi spoke to Tomasa “please Ms. Derru, we wish to see you play the Yubel card.” He was demanding kindly for him and Shinoda were curious as to what effects it held.
“I don’t wanna” Tomasa was annoyed speaking to a speaker and not a person. She held her duel disk up “give me a real challenge and I’ll…” from all the duels draining her body it was as if she lost, she began to feel light headed and sat back, on the floor resting her arms over her chest. Shinoda reasoned with Mr. Takahashi and they allowed her to rest, feeling that she passed the advanced pain system.
As though she passed they still desired to see her Yubel card. Mr. Takahashi held his hand out headed for her deck, but Shinoda tapped his hand lightly as if disciplining a child. “She may not want us to see it for a reason, so let it be” he explained and they placed her in a cozy room to rest in, until she would awaken.
Mean while, thousands of miles away…
A large jet plane flew over the Marshall Islands. “Are you sure about this sir?” Travis wearing goggles and leather gloves, added to his usual attire spoke with Davaku who was wearing a jet pack looking device on his back.
“Stand by, this’ll be quick” Davaku smirk jumping on the plane. He was hit by gusts of wind, making his hair flip backwards, wind catching his face, the tails of his black trench coat flailing like a cape. Davaku watched as the jet flew away, he then activated the metallic device on his back and two large rocket wings sprung forward. The ends of the wings had two jets and each one activated shooting out a burst of fiery energy, letting Davaku hover slowly to the ground, unfortunately his trip met a hazard.
A large black ray shot at him, he managed to avoid getting seriously injured by lunging his upper torso forward, but not could be same for the rocket pack, it was badly damaged and he began to fall. A large black creature, dragon flew out of where the ray originated. It was as if a giant rain cloud hovered over Davaku. “Here it is, time to duel!” As Davaku fell he activated his sharp looking duel disk then played three cards “polymerization, create Destiny End Dragon!”
The cards were played and to his rescue Destiny End Dragon caught him on its back. The hologram was high grade technology improved by Brown Corporation. (Now they can summon physical beings like in ancient Egypt, get used to that concept, lots of Egyptian Yu-Gi-Oh! Customs and references will be appearing in this fanfic.)
Destiny End Dragon’s blackness matched that of the large Rainbow Dragon. Davaku didn’t understand why it was Rainbow dragon, he needed to rename it “you’re not a rainbow, but darkness!”
The Rainbow Darkness Dragon saw the rival Destiny End Dragon and it’s spines began to glow. It shot out a dark ray at the dragon. Destiny End Dragon was completely destroyed and Davaku’s life point meter dropped by one thousand. Since it was the physical duel disk similar to the one Tomasa was using he felt every bit of pain go through him.
“Dammit… One thousand points? Then that monster must have 4000 attack points!” (Destiny End Dragon is 3000/3000 and since Davaku lost one thousand that means? Very good class! Hai yoko deki mashita!)
Cleverly Davaku devised a plan to combine his cards, whilst still falling in mid air. First he revived Destiny hero dogma 3400/2400. Then he played his field spell card Dark city which increased his monsters attack to 4400, more than enough to destroy the Rainbow dragon.
“Let’s take this ugly b*****d out!” Davaku shouted, Dogma landed on top of one the dark city buildings. (Yes, even cards like dark city and sky scraper are real now.) Davaku declared his Dogma attack and it seemed successful up until a certain point, the dragon blasted through the destiny hero and completely demolished the dark city. The loss for Davaku’s life points weren’t great, but his fall into the rubble was trouble. Everything became dark.
Davaku woke up to a ray of light, his body was covered in several white sheets. “Was that a dream?” He asked a loud looking back and forth realizing it was his own bed.
“Unfortunately not” Travis walked over to him with a glass of water and two capsules of head medication.
Davaku was very confused “how did you find me? What day is it?”
“Saturday, you left for the island a week ago” Travis explained. He had gone to island worried, there was him and several military people. They did not see Rainbow dragon, but they did find a man who had an Australian accent. He said his name was Mick Roy and he had rescued Davaku, after finding him in a pile of rubble. Davaku’s life point meter read 2900, he was still alive. He helped out Davaku and kept him in bed. Travis offered to pay Mick, but he wouldn’t take his money.
“Some Archeologist?” Davaku frowned sitting up. “How can he live on that Island with the Rainbow dragon…” Davaku sighed “where has Tomasa been?”
“She’s been cooped up in the Industrial Illusions head quarters, and have been facing duelists to join the D-force… Why?”
Davaku looked at his duel disk “it’s time to put aside the loss and join forces to destroy that Dragon.”

Yu-Gi-Oh! D-force World notes
D-force stands for Duel force (I suppose that should have been explained in the first chapter^.^; wink And sometimes the character Davaku will change the meaning so that it can mean Destiny force, to serve the ego of his Destiny Hero Monsters.
Shinoda Katagiri
Has the basic appearance of Jeff Goldblum. His name is a combination from the protagonists and antagonists from Godilla 2000. He is calm, and collected, knowing much about duel monsters and science, he will be a helpful asset throughout the fanfic.

A pale character, parodied from a Ranma ½ character known as Gosenkugi. He is pathetic and have made a total of two appearances. His curse deck keeps his opponents from.. Well actually his deck sucks, as mentioned several times throughout the fanfic (twice) Josh won a twenty man duel due to the card Final Countdown which after played the duel is won in twenty turns.
John Ancients
A long time ago in another Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanfic there was a character called Beardy John who used the Exodia cards, his duel was very small and not having much meaning, but he kept the main character from point A to point C. Instead he helps Davaku realize that he has to destroy a legendary monster, but not Exodia, Rainbow Dragon
