Fools go about their business, striving to gain,
Fighting for what is ahead, when all it may bring is pain.
Won't smell the roses, just walk on by,
On their way to tomorrow, while living a lie.
Can't even control what happens, just hope for the best,
Keep looking straight forward, forgetting the rest.
Letting all that they actually have slip away,
Passing all opportunities given, that they have for today.
Using all of their time planning for what lies ahead,
Dreaming of a good life, while lying in bed.
They all need to realize what's next isn't ours to say,
And stop dreaming, wake up, and Live For Today!
People are trying to live in a time already gone,
Looking back on their past, afraid to move on.
They want to relive it, and just can't let go,
There is fear for the future, in what they don't know.
They're all blind to what may be coming their way,
Just can't see how they should be living that day.
Needing someone to help and turn them around,
In hopes what they're missing will somehow be found.
Too many of them worry about what's in their past,
And forget what they have now may not always last.
They soon need to find themselves some other way,
Then living behind them, and start to Live For Today!
So to all of you out there, I offer this helpful advise,
Take this to heart and start to change your own life.
Don't live your life for the future or dwell on the past,
Live your life For Today, because Today Will Not Last!
