Time for a horrible rant on something other than video games!
Alright. So some might know that Ive been busy making a Calendar for the past while on Second Life. Well, we finally released it, after many set backs and idiocy, but I was glad to finally get it out. Then, came the worst problems. What some might not know, is one of the best Avatar Creators in Lusk got in a fight with the owner and left for good, taking her Avatar Vendors with her.
Okay, so Lusk loses some income and traffic. That doesnt affect me at all. Now here comes the idiocy. The person who left is also in my Calendar, which was to be SOLD in Lusk, but for some reason, it's not being sold, even for free. I have to hand them out, which isnt great for publicity. I have to ASK people if they want one... So anyways, the person who left is in my Calendar, and today I was requested to take down the Calendar since she was in it. Well, I pretty much said "******** that" and they're all like "But we already promised someone they'd get her spot!" Well, screw this. I came up with the idea, and put work into the group, and getting everyone together. I didnt do all the work, though, as my computer died and I had to pass some work onto someone else. But now that someone else is taking full credit for it. She's going behind my back, discussing with the owner of the shop about all this crap that I'm not a part of. The calendar would be SOLD, but she went behind my back and said it would be FREE. Hell, 120 L$ is like... 10 cents in real life. It's not a lot! And the money would go towards paying for the person's shop. But no! idiots go behind my ******** back...
So anyways, I'm trying to put my foot down, but I dont think it'll work. I truly think they're gonna remove Samara off my Calendar, as for some reason, I dont have rights on it anymore. WTF? Bill Gates doesnt do all the programing himself. He comes up with the idea, does some crap, then he gets people to finish it, and touch it up. Sure, their names go on it, too, but it IS BG's cause he thought of it, and got it into production. Now that may sound cheap, but thats business. But one of my "Workers" has gone ahead and taken full credit. Not that I really mind. I just wanted to get it out there for the people, after all. But when she goes behind my back to make decisions on the future and success of the Calendar, I have to at least TRY to put them in their place. I also figure that if I get pissed off and leave, I might take a huge chunk of people with me, cause people love me. I'm not full of myself, but if I get pissed at an injustice like that, people WILL leave with me.
I just hope it doesnt have to come to that. I mean.. I'll let her have her moment in the sun, even though she owns a ******** club, sells animations, is a good modder of her Avi, and is generally successful, and I havent made ANYTHING successful till now, Ill still let her take it... Even though it pisses me off, I wont stop her. That is, till she steps the line, and right now, she's boardering right on the edge.
