*himeko is walking around Gaia, but sees that everything is much livelier. everyone is looking like they're celebrating something*

himeko: this looks strange.

*she sees that everyone has buttons for eyes*

himeko: is this really Gaia?

*himeko sees her friends on a street corner*

himeko: hey!

*the three girls turn around, only for himeko to find that they look just like everyone else*

luna: you're just in time for supper, friend.

*himeko walks over*

yukiko: what's wrong?

himeko: you can't be.

selene: what do you mean?

himeko: you're not my friends. my friends don't have...

*finally notices the buttons*

himeko: b-bu-bu-

luna: b-b-b-buttons?

himeko: yeah.

selene: we know. we're your other friends, silly.

himeko: other friends?

yukiko: yes. we are a sort of parallel world. we're here to ensure your happiness.

himeko: my happiness? that sounds really cool!

luna: we know. now, c'mon! let's go to the beach!

himeko: yeah, beach time!

elsewhere in the real Gaia...

*the remaining trio are currently docked outside Isle de Gambino, searching for himeko*

luna: himeko?

selene: hime?

yukiko: where are you?

Ryd: anything?

luna: no. you said that she was here.

Ryd: my data seems to be inconsistent with the appearance of new worlds. i'll check again.

luna: she'd better be here.

meanwhile...

himeko: wow! everything is so different!

Other luna: we try to.

Other yukiko: it's our pride to make everything different.

Other selene: it's what makes Gaia wonderful.

himeko: yeah, it sure is.

Other luna: do you want to go to the circus?

himeko: oh boy!

*the weird quartet run off*

in Gaia...

*Ryd is finished checking his systems again. what he finds is extremely disturbing*

Ryd: luna-teichou, i have finished checking for himeko-san's whereabouts.

luna: that's great! where is she?

Ryd: according to my systems, it appears she is in Gaia, but it looks more parallel.

luna: she's in a parallel universe?

Ryd: it appears so.

luna: *sighs* i'll get right on it.

Ryd: i know you should, but...

luna: but what?

Ryd: well, i know that i am just an artificial intelligence within a giant starship, but could you treat me as if i'm alive?

luna: of course. we'll go looking tomorrow.

Ryd: *sighs i guess* that's good.
