It's journal time! Yaaaay! Havent posted one in a really long time. Anyways, this is just a quick rant. I've been posting my photographs that Ive taken in the Gaia art arena. Most have come out really well with the ratings and all that. Anyways, Today, on my Mushroom pic, I get some weird a** comment telling me "You should photoshop some cool effects to make the pic look higher quality."
I'm sorry, but only jerks photoshop pics that they've taken. If you're not happy with the pic you've taken, tough s**t. I mean seriously, "Add cool effects"? Photographys is more than just making the sun in your picture glow blue, or adding fangs to yourself. If you dont have fangs, or arent on some weird a** distant planet to get that pic, go there and get some. Photography isnt about who can take the most "Prettly photoshopped pic"
Photoshop, My a**... Thats like... "I'm gonna make this clay sculpture by first buying a really nice mold. Then I'll put the clay in it!" Sure you made a sculpture, but it's not really YOUR sculpture anymore. It's a mold, or a machines, or programs.
Not saying people who photoshop their stuff are jerks or anything, but for someone to come along and be like "Heeey, I photoshop all my s**t, you should, too, because it would make it look better!"
Personally, I hate most photoshopped pics. Seriously, if you're not happy with it, dont dress it up to make it "Look Better"
