A CITY TO BURN

On a moonless Chicago night,
People were running and screaming in fright

With absence of rain, and a lot of smoke,
Firemen tried to put it in a soak

A tornado of fire swiftly passes the town,
Everything in sight comes knocking down

Water hoses start to slow
Firemen are running so

Burning flames fly in the sky,
So many men are going to die

Raging wind seals the city’s doom,
In a big town full of gloom

Some people think they’re safe,
When the fire comes, they are unsafe

Smoke pours out of windows and into the sky,
People running everywhere wishing they could fly

Drip, drip, there goes some rain,
As it falls, the fire gives no more pain
