#25- Tea Talk

“So where was I…?” Ahisutah murmured quietly. Her eyes were still closed, as if trying difficulty to remember. I waited patiently for her to speak and soon, after a few seconds she piped up, her eyes snapping open, “Ah, yes! Yataigode and Ayutipha were bonded forever. The two angels lived for many hundred years in peace, guarding Seven Lights from any evil that might pass through the parallel world into their world. But soon, war broke out in the South where the pass to the underworld lay. The pass was opened at that time because of the missing King to the humans of Seven Lights and many demons from the underworld were coming through, trying to take over this world above. The ultimate leader of the underworld was a great and powerful demon called Narthgornafel. He sent massive troops of demons like Morgelles, Harglis and so many other types to kill and exterminate every living being of Seven Lights. They swept through the lands, slaying the innocent, city after city, village after village. The angels, living in the far north, on top of the highest mountain in Seven Lights, had to discuss their plans of attack. They knew they could wipe all the demons out within moments but this brought to them the dilemma of the humans seeing their ultimate power and becoming indulged in the angel’s protection and never to be able to fend for themselves. The angels knew the humans needed a king. Yet, still, some humans stood unyielding and great men of cities lead the best of their city’s troops and forces into battle. With spears and swords, bow and arrow, humans went out against the demons. The angels on the other hand were deliberating without knowing that Narthgornafel was plotting a scheme that will conquer all and bring Seven Lights into farthermost ruin.”
Ahisutah stopped, looking at me. I stared at her back with concerned about what was to happen in the story. She spoke.
“I’m sorry Ayumi. My voice is getting dry. Will you wait for me to make some tea to clear my old throat up?” Ahisutah asked.
“Yeah, sure!” I said I answered briskly.
Ahisutah turned to head to another large knothole in the wall; probably leading into the kitchen, then paused and turned back to look at me.
“Oh, would you like some tea too, dear?” She asked again.
“U-uh, sure.” I said with a half smile, “Thanks.”
She nodded and swirled around, heading to the kitchen.
