"Hey!" I heard.
I turned my glance back to the boy, surprised. 'Ayumi' was the only word I've heard him say all the time I've been with him. The sudden "Hey" he shouted was rather new to me. I tried to ignore him, looking into another direction, studying the trees, thinking to myself how I ended up here after a blackout. Could it have been Magic? That was impossible. But what did I know about possibility?
The boy, I thought. He must be some kind of unworldly being that transported me here with the touch of his index finger and when I wake up, he’d bake me into pie and eat me alive. I rolled my eyes at that thought. I was being stupid and unreasonable. There must be a truly logical answer to how I’m sitting in the snow in god-knows-where. I thought. He must have moved me here while I was unconscious, maybe taking me out of Japan. I must have been unconscious for a few days if that was the issue.
Do you even know what he is, Dumbass? I scolded myself. I peered at him with the corner of my eye.
I noticed his expression had changed from a while ago. He looked like he was about to cry. His face was furrowed and pink.
“Why are you running from me?” He suddenly sobbed loudly and began to cry.
I looked at him strangely. He wasn’t just crying normally. He was sobbing loudly like an upset toddler.
