Kady stood in front of her full length mirror with Kaitlin and Tiffany on either side. She pulled on her tan Neko dress, which was identical, other than color to Tiffany’s and Kaitlin’s. Tiffany’s was black and Kaitlin’s was brown.
“Yay, I can’t wait to see what the guys are going to be for Halloween,” Kady applied more black eyeliner while she was talking.
“Kady! Michael is here,” Kady’s mom shouted from down stairs.
“Come on up!” Kady cleared her desk chair of her language arts book, which she threw on her bed.
“Hey,” Michael stepped into Kady’s girly light pink bedroom and was welcomed by the smell of Kady’s citrus perfume. Sheba, the family chow-chow started barking happily and ran in circles around the new visitor.
“Huh, she must really like you…” Kaitlin noted as Sheba jumped up trying to lick Michael’s face.
“Yeah,” Tiffany agreed watching Michael trying to get the happy puppy to calm down.
“Are you ready?” Michael asked giving up on trying to get Sheba to quiet down so he just picked her up with one hand and scratched her ears with the other.
“Yeah,” Kady looked up at Michael and discovered her was dressed as a Neko too. “Yay, we’re all kitties!” Kady jumped up and down, which was surprising because she was wearing two inch heels.
“Come on, let’s go before Kady hurts someone,” Tiffany laughed and headed for the door.
After retrieving Cody and Kyle they all walked to the haunted house, seeing how it was in their neighborhood.
“It doesn’t look scary at all,” Kyle said in a macho tone with his arm around Tiffany.
“Well you apparently haven’t been to this hunted house before. I’ve been going ever since I moved here eight years ago and it’s always scary no matter what. What sucks is they can’t really touch you and they don’t chase you unless you run,” Kady smiled as she and Michael held hands.
