A Day in the Life of an Average Gaian
A fictional journal that has no real continuing plot (except for perhaps a few 2 or 3 part entries) and can basically be read in any order. I hope you enjoy reading! *Note* Read the comments for hints on further entries...
In Which I Catch A Shooting Star (Draconus Part One)
The stars are so pretty tonight, I thought. I can see all the constellations: Jackal, the great dog; Felixus, the tiger; and even Draconus, the fierce dragon.
I was sitting atop a hill, gazing at the stars. It was a relief to finally relax with peace and quiet after having such a busy and tiring week.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something shimmer. I turned my head.
It was Draconus' eye. The largest star in the sky, it suddenly started twinkling and flashing different colors, from green to blue to red and back to green.
How can this be possible? A supernova? I grew excited, my mind racing.
And if that wasn't enough, his eye started moving. Moving. It was actually moving. I watched it slowly float across the sky, getting brighter and brighter.
I stood up and gazed as it got bigger and bigger.
Two minutes passed, but it seemed like an eternity.
So now there I was, staring with awe as a giant light was rapidly descending down the midnight sky.
Then, all of a sudden, it dimmed greatly, and I could discern an eerie light-green meteor the size of a basketball freefalling towards the ground.
Time seemed to slow, and it was as if Draconus' eye was more floating than falling. Out of impulse, I ran forward to catch it. At the peak of the hill, it alighted suprisingly gently into my hands.
It illuminated me in an unnatural light, and emanated immense power. It filled me with a strange feeling of such happiness, I could never bring myself to try and describe it.
I had in my hand the eye of Draconus.

The space rock glowed even stronger. Soon it became so bright, it was as if I was somehow holding a bright sun. Then again, I was. It started to get warmer and warmer, until it became so hot I dropped it onto the ground, my hands feeling burned.
As I rubbed my hands, I heard a shudder and a crack. I paused. Silence. I must have been imagining things.
Crack!
I jumped.

Ledge Notes on "In Which I Catch A Shooting Star (Draconus Part One)-
The writer was clearly inspired by the recent evolving item, Fallen Wish. The meteor came from the eye of Draconus, a dragon. As you may know, Fallen Wish will evolve to become one of the fiercest mythical creatures ever created. This means that the author's final entry (Draconus Part Three) shall be when Fallen Wish finally reveals its creature form.
