Good day
Today was a interesting day, a good day, an educational day. My third period class at school is World Religions and Classical idea, a good class, a good teacher, and a easy class. But today we had a Zen Buddist guest speaker. We have several people speak to our class, later we will have a Buddist monk speaker. But anyways, back to the Zen Buddist. He was a interesting guy, funny, and smart. He talked to us about the ways of the Zen Buddist, which were all interesting, he spoke about the different types of the practice, and he gave us info and stories about the budda. He told us about attachment to the material world, he told us why Buddism isn't a religion, just a practice, and he emphasized that point heavily. He used to be Catholic, so he was able to tell the difference of the two language. He said that Buddism isn't a religion because they do not pray to a god, or higher power, he said the the main part of Zen Buddism is meditating. He spoke of a lot more, but I won't go into everything he discussed.
