The Old Life, Chapter 16
The next morning we ate breakfest. There wasn't much chatting going around since everyone wanted to go back to sleep. After breakfest we walked over to the medicine center. It held all the lotions, herbs, and more other health products. The care taker stood by boxs, probably checking over the products. The package was in my backpack, when I took it out. The old man lifted his head then smiled and thanked us for the package.
As I took a step closer to him, the shadows shifted. I don't know about the others but Vocami saw it. The man's smile turned into a frown and snatched the package away. "Again, thank you, " His voice was shaky this time. I didn't move as he walked away. Neither did the others. "Ahhhhhh!" Boda screamed, being frightened by something. Gazo turned around and froze. "It's you...Sensui." "Please stop! You said you wouldn't hurt anyone else," said the old man. "Her blood is more pure then yours old man. Sensui was tall and skinny but big muscled. His body was covered in burns, black and blue spots and cuts. His white hair was short and his eyes red as blood. A smile was on his face that was really a twisted one.
Grimu didn't hesitate to attack. "Under death!" The bandages on his arms slithered into the ground. Sensui was confused at his jutsu. then the bandages resurfaced and wrapped around Sensui's ankles. The ground around him turned to quicksand and he sank. Boda started to panic and squirmed. "Boda don't move!" Grimu yelled at her. She nodded and did what she was told. The more Sensui moved the more he sank and the more Boda paniced. However she didn't not move. Since Boda did not move as much as Sensui did the quick sand did not take her. Once her feet touched the ground she started to clam down. The only thing left was Sensui's left hand, still moving to get free, then it also was gone. "That was easier then I thought," said Boda now calm. "It's not. Once my badages are back on he'll resurface."
The battle was over for now. After the devilery the old man thanked us and closed the storage area. We left to return to the hotel. I thought today was going to be more exciting. I'll just have to wait until Grimu's bandages return. As we got ready for bed Grimu was studying his arms. Sighing through my nose I walked over to him sitting on the edge of his bed. "What's wrong now?" He looked at me as if I was his mother or something. Shaking my head I said, "Sorry if I sound like a mother." "It's ok." He looked over his arms again. "Are they supposed to be back by now?" He nodded, "He must still be struggling." I nodded. Yawning I got up and left. "Night."
In the morning we got breakfest; a beagle and juice. Grimu's bandages still haven't returned. Walking out of the building everyone was cheerful. Children were running around while their dogs followed behind them barking. "It seems as though they never knew Sensui was here," said Boda. I didn't feel like doing a village check to see if everyone was alright, that's not my job. I turned the other way, heading to the gates. The others didn't follow at first, Boda and Grimu, but Vocami was at my side. While she walked next to me, we made small talk. "You should be more talkive." "Actions are better then words." Moving my eyes to the side, Vocami looked behind us to see grimu and Boda following.
We were still in the grass village when Grimu stopped. Turning around I questioned his stance. Suddenly his bandages poped out of the ground went up his legs then rested, wrapped around his arms. "He's free." Suddenly the ground rumbled. Trees started to fall in one row. The rumbling stopped and everyone prepared for battle, if it was one. The ground crumbled infront of Grimu. Someone or something jumped out of the ground and punched Grimu under his chin sending him flying up into the air.
