I'm changing the title, it's not a major change but it makes more sense
The Old Life, Chapter 23
As I got back to the others I informed them of that area we had to go to in an hour. When we got there it empty; no one was there. I told Boda to wake me up when things started. When she did, it felt as though I had only slept for only 15 minutes. She told me all about the scrolls and that I once again had to go see another person. I was the last person to get a scroll and it was an earth scroll. As I got out the tent-like booth I saw three little kids talking to the boy who was making a lot of noise back when we were waiting for the exams to start. The scroll was in my weapon pouch while going back to Grimu and Boda.
(Jumping ahead) We approarched Gate 21 and waited for it to be opened. As we did so the team containing the girl that has long brunette hair walked by. She seemed disappointed that someone else had gotten to thier team number before they did. Once the guy opened the gate we all seperated to cover more ground (we already had a plan on what to do). When one of us found a scroll we'd bark loudly letting the others know that they found the light scroll. (we had transformed into foxes, so we didn't have to fight).
Grimu POV
Grimu turned into a gray fox making himself look old and helpless. Boda looked like a pup and Saga an adult. Anyway he had no progress in finding a light scroll yet. Suddenly there was the smell of fish in the air. "Someone must be cooking." Grimu then pressed his body to the ground getting closer to the source. Soon a clearing came into view with three figures sitting around a fire. 'All I need now is to know what scroll they have,' Grimu thought. "What are we going to do guys? Shin's hurt badly and we don't have any healing pills or any jutsu's!" "Don't worry Rin we'll find a way," a boy named Kin sighed placing something down, it was a light scroll! "Let's see if we can find some herbs, ok Rin?' "Yah," Rin walked over to Shin who was half consicous, "Hold onto the scroll ok, we'll be back" Shin nodded. The two dashed off heading away from his sight.
"I know you're out there." Hearing that made Grimu tense up. He wasn't sure if he should come out or stay hiden. "Com on, I know you want our scroll." Grimu slowly came out with a positive figure. "My team isn't ready yet, " he laughed softly, "If they can't even remember to pack healing pills then they definitely aren't ready." Shin reached into his pounch and pulled out the scroll and holds it in Grimu's view. Grimu took it without hesitation then nodded his head as a thanks. Suddenly he heard foot steps in the trees. "Run off now quickly!"
Back to me
Everyone had went to find the other scroll while I did the same but I didn't go anywhere far. I had burried the scroll and was now sitting on it as many teams have passed me by having the earth scroll. Right now there was a battle between two teams. It was Gaara's team and the other was....well I don't know where they came from. I didn't pay attention to the village sings in school.
Anyway the other team seemed very confident about them getting Gaara's scroll. Unlike them I know Gaara and with a blink of an eye he could have them all dead. They were killed too. However Gaara was done having his fun. He had spotted something in the bushes and draged it out with his sand, it was Grimu stll in his fox transformation while holding onto the scroll for dear life. "Well, well look what we have here. A dead old fox carrying a scroll. It's not the one we need but we'll keep it...right Gaara." "Whatever." "Yah, you're right who cares."
I ran out from my hiding spot sensing Gaara was going to cover Grimu up completly with sand then kill him. Gaara didn't seem to notice me as I ramed into him causing him to fall and letting go of Grimu. He grolwed as he got up. Trotting over to Grimu I made sure he was ok, he was. Grimu took the scroll out of his mouth then barked loudly letting Boda know where he was and that he got the scroll. Then a white could surrounded us, turning us back into human. I placed the scroll into my pouch and watched Gaara and his teammates making sure they didn't do anything. Gaara narrowed his eyes at me for distrubing him in his fun. I smriked liking the reaction he gave. Finally Boda arrived in her human, alittle beat'n up. i told her where to find out scroll and she went and out it. Once she was back she smiled and gave me the thumbs up telling me that she dung up our scroll and it was in her pouch.
Suddenly out of no where my attitude changed, my eyes also changing from gold to blood red. "I'll see you later Gaara and I want to see Shukaku next time we meet. He seems...interesting." After that my eyes went back to thier golden color. Also me and my team left leaving Gaara and his team confussed and slightly frightened that i knew about Shukaku.
