I've been on a monster hunt for a job for about a week now, but especially in the last three days or so because I was put under house arrest by my own mother. -_-;
("If it'll get you a job... D<" wink
Ideally (for mother) I will get a job that wants me out of the house AFTER I drop off my brother.
Ideally (for me), I will work the early morning hours so that I have the afternoon off to do what I want. Unfortunately, that means the evenings are going to have to wait because I'll have to be asleep so that I can WAKE UP and do the work. Even so, at some point (once I get the damn job) I will have to switch my schedule around for school, because by the end of this year or the start of the next, I want to be in college. Want.
I've been freaking out over what I'd study because I've been thinking of it in terms of "That is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life."
Since I was in high school, I've had comments like "You should be a psychologist" or "You'd make a really great therapist! =D" thrown at me, and yet I always preferred helping people in terms of enlightening them and broadening their horizons. I wanted to be a teacher... but looking at how so many people fall out of that career so easily, and it's not even really lucrative, I mean, would it be better for me to study psychology, get my credits, and then become a teacher with the option of becoming a psychologist under my own employment?
Today I don't feel afraid of studying psychology, which likely means I'll be escaping it for the rest of the day. -_-;
Whatever I major in, I want it to be something I'm not going to try to run away from, which is why I'm afraid of majoring in Psychology. I don't want to wind up thinking "It's too hard!" and try to switch. Whatever I study in college, I want to be able to follow through and graduate on time or close to it. (Graduating on time? That's a pretty far fetched idea for colleges in general, which tend to screw over the majority of the attending students and even the ones who are just trying to get in. -_-)
I want to love what I study and to perpetuate that throughout the years, and to share my love of education with people.
We still have:
Psychology Education The Arts Music-engineering included. Animation Marine Biology (something I've wanted to do since I was, like, eight... no kidding.) Journalism (since I was about twelve or so)
There's way more than that, but these are at the top (Arts, Psychology, Writing, Music, Animation.), which is to say, these are things I'd like to be involved in when my future becomes my present.
What to do, what to do...
Ah, yes: but this is THE FUTURE! =D *sparkles*
... *snicker* 0.0
For now, I'm looking for something in retail hell.
Preferably as a sales person.
After all, I do like to help people... >D
