I was walking home from school one day like I always do. Same route, same everything. I walked through the grass and it seemed each step I took it got taller and taller and taller. Halfway there, the grass which had now become a field was up to my thighs. I started to worry, this wasn't what happened when I walked home from school.

Suddenly, thoughts rushed through my mind. "Did I take a different route on accident?" "Is this a mirage?" I stood where I was. The grass stayed the same length. I turned around but it still got higher. I went every which way but it still grew. By now, the grass was up to my head. I started to run but suddenly it swallowed me! I screamed but no one came to the rescue.

I started breathing hard in a panic. I was in a hole of dirt! I breathed harder and harder. The dirt seemed to be suffocating me! Then I saw an opening ahead! Could I make it? I was already out of breath and the hole seemed to be growing smaller and smaller. I would have to run to make it! My life depended on this! I didn't have time to stop and think! The hole shrunk more and more as regularly as a clock ticked.

I ran as fast as my legs would take me. I was having a heat stroke! I was so close to the hole! I could make it! I was there! I did it! I was halfway out of the hole when it was so tight I couldn't get the rest of me out! My face started to turn blue, then purple. I was seeing a tie-die of pink. Then everything turned black.
