Being 3 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. I set my alarm for 6:00 AM the night before. It was early the next morning that I jumped out of bed, threw on my clothes, and laced up my shoes. I walked outside through the back door. As I stepped off of the porch it was as if I was in a completely different realm. The grass was layered perfectly with small drops of dew and the robins were pulling worms from the wet dirt for their young.

I spread my arms out and took a deep, long, satisfying breath through my nose. I walked slowly to the front yard. I sat down and watched the robins chirp to one another. Then spotted a squirrel in the tree picking a fresh, ripe english walnut. He opened it with his claws and teeth, feasting in the tree. I fell asleep in the swing, listening to the peaceful sounds of nature's children.
