STORY IDEA
Two kingdoms are at war. Everything has been reset back into the medieval ages due to the wonderful uses of nuclear weapons on the earth, but the radiation seemed to have an incredibly strange affect on the plantlife. It grew dominant, and within years covered most of the land mass of the Earth. More so, it didn't take nearly as long for the pollution to wear off.
Humans have been exitinct for a numebr of hundreds of years -- until finally, the Forest gives birth to the first generation of humans.
These humans were told to give the Forest praise and love for everything it had provided them, qnd the humans complied. Over time, however, as the human ranks began to grow, their ties to the Forest began to fade. So the Forest created another creature, (xxx) that was the image of man, but imbued with the powers of hte forest.
The (xxx) managed to keep the humans contained for a number of years, unti finally humanity broke free once more. They began to colonize the world, chop away sections of the forest. . . And soon, they forgot that the forest had even brithed them at all.
Now humans walk the Earth, accompanied byt eh higher species of Elves. The two are constantly tense -- and even a war was started. The Elves, remembering their plegde to the Forest, begged and pleaded witht he great force to end this war.
The Forest agreed, and came to teh leaders of both the Elves and the Humans. Retribution for the end of this war was to give up a human daughter and an elven son to the forest. The two would be forever bound to each other, and the future generations would carry the "Mark" of the forest. The daughter was to stay inside of the wood.
Somewhere down this line an Elven son that was marked learned dark magic, and forcefulyl severed some of the connections to the human daughter. He fled, and was never seen again. Only the nobles were aware that the Elven son had fled -- to tell the people would only lead them to war once more.
The Forest, however, was not pleased. The next daughter, it promised them, would not be born alive.
A generation passed, and the king's new daughter has been given to the (xxx) as promised to the Forest. As only the nobles knew of the broken promise to the Forest, the humans and elves wished desperately that the Forest would not be angry with this new generation.
And so, Xevra, the stillborn daughter of the king, was taken into teh forest, cold and dead. Given to the heart of the Forest, it remade her. Took her body and nutured it, giving it the life that it had taken away.
This was how Xevra came to be known as the Ghost Princess, or the Princess of the Forest. Charged with carrying duties of the forest, she aids lost travelers and carries the souls of passed on animals or people into the heart of the forest during the night, therefore feeding the forest. A guard of (xxx) flanks her at night, as the forest protects her during the day.
It is through this path that Ruin, and Elven boy, comes to find Xevra one day. COnfused on her "goddess-like appearance" he asks for guidance. He is searching for the two kingdoms of Man and Elf, and had gotten lost in the forest. . .
Xevra, ever the helping hand, leads him through the forest, and playful as a nymph, dances around him and teases him. Having her burned upon his mind, he enters the towns and soon begins to visit Xevra daily, uknowing of her true identity.
Xevra herself is lonely. To have Ruin, this Elven boy, stop by daily is a very nice and very needed friend. She b egins to grow on him over time, but is terrified of revealing her dark secret of her birth. For nobody knew that the king had another daughter. In fact, news had filtered in that the last stillborn princess was goign to be replaced with antoher. She was with child once more.
Ruin enters the forest one day to discover that Xevra is not there, and it is crawling with (xxx). More so, that Xevra has been captured. Dark Elves, wishing to torment the Forest, plan to slowly torture her to wound the Forest's spirit before attacking the heart.
Ruin, being the lovesick fool that he is, rushes to save her, only to find that the playing field has been much, much more levelled.
Xevra, once the pure manifestation of the Forest, has ben tainted and is being controlled by the leader of the Dark Elves. General Wraith.
And Ruin must join forces with the nobles of the humans and elves to get her back.
