It?s a scary thought
That we all can change
It is with us always
It does not go away

It is not the thought that we can change
It?s the thought that we will change
It is not a possibility
It is a fact

Our appearances
Our personality
Our thoughts
And our interests
It is a part of our lives

Without change
They would be extremely boring
But with it
They can be scary
Everyone is afraid of it

Sometimes it is for the better
Sometimes it is for the worse
It is always unexpected
And it cannot be ignored

It is around every corner
Around every little bend
It is behind us
And in front of us
Just waiting to show its face

It is not all that bad
Not all that scary
Just a fact of life
Someday it will be different

So live day by day
Looking forward to what?s around the bend
Because if it is bad
You can still look forward to making it better
