The screams in the night
A child?s fearful cries
There is no on to help
No room for calm
Long, lonely nights
Huddled in the corner
No one knows of the real fear
Felt deep within
Of those nights spent crying
And days of acting
Covering up so well
The hurt and confusion
Deep inside her heart
She trusts but no one
And loves but one
But never has she been loved
By anyone that matters
The doors slam
The furniture flies
There is no one to hear
Her anguished cries
Never will she love
If this I how it is
Every night the same
Screaming and fighting
There is nothing she can do
But sit back and listen
And as one cry ends
Another begins
Why does it have to be like this?
Why cant it just end?
