Friends Reunited
Nyatta yawned tiredly, walking back from training. to sum it all up, the girl looked like a mess; her green shirt was clinging way to close for comfort to her body like a second skin from her sweat. Her two pigtails were messy as well and coming out, causing part of her hair to cover her left eye. She sighed and tucked it behind her ear. The cause of Nyatta's condition? Training.
She looked up at the sky and shivered, a cool breeze prickling against her skin. It was cold, very cold indeed, and it was getting late. She had to get home.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A black wolf was walking through the forest part of Konoha, its ears high in the air to listen for what it was searching for. Surely the individual had to be nearby...She paused, her dark blue eyes scanning in the area and then, the wolf sniffed the air. It, or rather she, was close!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nyatta suddenly stopped walking.
"This is odd...I feel like I'm being watched!" she thought to herself. Nyatta's thoughts were cut short though when a black wolf (the same one as before) pounced on her, pinning her to the ground on her back.
"Eep!" Nyatta exclaimed, giggling as the wolf licked her on the cheek, its tail wagging with joy. Now she was sure who it was!
With one swift motion, the wolf jumped off of her and leaped high into the dark sky, coming down as a girl. Her body had fine curves like those of an hourglass. She had pale skin and for her age, was a little taller than usual. Long, black hair ran down her dark blue shirt and continued down her dark blue shorts, stopping at her fishnet stockings. Her dark blue eyes showed happiness and a wide grin spread across her face.
"Nya!" Hitomi exclaimed, tightly hugging her friend.
"Hitomi!" Nyatta exclaimed, returning the hug affectionately.
"I missed you like crazy!" Hitomi said.
"I know," Nyatta agreed. "It's been WAY too long!" She paused, looking at her friend who she met over a year ago. "Wow...you grew so much! And you got pretty...much more beautiful than I am," she said, looking down in shame.
"Am not! You grew too! I say YOU'RE the prettier one!" Hitomi said to cheer Nyatta up.
"No I'm not!" Nyatta disagreed, looking back up.
"Yes you are!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
The two girls fell to the ground, giggling at their trivial agrument. When it finally ended, both Hitomi and Nyatta sat up.
"So, how's the Moon Village been?" Nyatta asked Hiomi curiously. "Is everything going well?"
"I suppose," Hitomi replied, gazing up at the moon. "How have things been going with Lee?" she asked, looking back at Nyatta, smiling.
She smiled. "Things have been great!"
"You two together yet?" Hitomi asked, playfully nudging her friend.
"H-huh?! No, whatwouldmakeyouthinkthat?!?!" Nyatta replied in what came out as a mess of words. She looked down, her cheeks and the rest of her face bright red.
"Relax!" Hitomi said, giggling.
Nyatta grinned and looked up, her back returned to its normal color. "Have YOU found anyone yet?" she asked, giggling as well.
Hitomi laughed and offered her a hand. "Maybe. But anyway, come on! You have to meet someone!"
At this, Nyatta's blue green eyes lit up in excitement.
"Whee, a new person to meet! Who is, who is it, who is it, who is it?!" she asked, obviously eager to meet the person. She took Hitomi's hand and stood up.
Hitomi giggled at her eagerness. "Yes, this is typical Nyatta - hyper and cheerful, as usual," she thought inwardly. "She hasn't changed at all."
"You'll see once we get there," she replied.
"Aaaaww, but I want to know!" Nyatta whined, pouting.
"You will! Now come on, please?" Hitomi asked.
"Hmm...o.k.!" Nyatta replied, smiling.
"Ugh, I forgot to ask," Hitomi said, looking at her friend's condition in slight disgust and a little worry. "You look awful. What happened?"
"Oh well...I guess I got a little carried away in training...heh," Nyatta responded to Hitomi, grinning sheepishly.
She sighed. "Pushing yourself as usual I see. Would you mind changing into different and cleaner clothes?"
"No, not at all! Besides...this shirt is beginning to stick to my skin," Nyatta stated.
"Ew...that's just wonderful."
Nyatta giggled, then poofed into new clothes; a green kimono with white lotus petals on it and a light blue obi, which was around her waist. She then took her long, brown hair out of their pigtails and let it fall down her back. When it reached its full length (quite a few inches above her waist), Nyatta took out a brush and brushed it so the knots would go away and so her hair would be soft and smooth. Now she was ready.
"How do I look?" Nyatta asked with a soft smile. Just for the fun of it, she twirled around.
"Fabulous!" Hitomi exclaimed, clapping. "Are you ready?"
"Yes!" Nyatta shouted, raising her right fist in the air. "I can't wait to meet this mystery person!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ten minutes later, the two girls arrived at the door of an apartment.
"So this is the place you rented?" Nyatta asked.
"Mhm. only for a little though, I have to return to the Moon Village soon," Hitomi replied. She then knocked on the door.
"Hold on a sec," the person inside said calmly. There was a sound of footsteps, then the door opened. It revealed a boy. At the most, he was a few years older than Hitomi and Nyatta, probably around fourteen or fifteen. He had short black hair and dark brown eyes, and was a little taller than Hitomi. His attire consisted of a black baggy t-shirt with a crescent moon on it, faded jeans, and blue ninjas shoes.
Hitomi smiled shyly and looked down. "Nyatta, this is my boyfriend, Haru."
