Words are left behind, encrypted
Visual binary, owning no emotion,
Formed by graphite, from the heart
But the medium's meaningless without interpretation
The lines twist, turn, entwine
And form an image for our mind
But the ink is fading fast
And symbols of words are all that's left behind
Corrupted analogue data
Handwriting rendering it degenerated
Its illegibility mirrors its feelings
And the words, like heart, are rendered incinerated
Starch hidden within starch
Sealed, awaiting approval
Life has been since siphoned away
To be once read, then to await removal.
