Some of the other students in my Japanese heart class decided to put together a study group that would meet at the Japanese restaurant (ostensibly to study but it doesn't really happen) I would never have guessed that there would be a Japanese restaurant in the city where I'm going to college. (It's a small town next to a big town, so you have to drive 20 minutes to do much of anything). Well there is one. I was really suprised.

Well I decided to be adventerous and try some Unagi. It's eel and rice tied together with seaweed (I think, I'm not exactly sure, I know the eel and rice part is correct) it was actually pretty good. The eel had no flavor that I could taste, it was just kinda slimy. it came with Wasabi (dunno if that's spelled right) sauce that looked a little like green playdough, but it was REALLY hot. I didn't eat much of it. but the sushi was really good.

Also one of the girls in my class got a bunch of really nice chopsticks that she gave everyone, not the cheap ones you get at a chinese restaurant, but good ones made of bamboo and stained really dark. they're really cool, I'm gonna use them whenever I eat fried rice (whichj I can make pretty good)
