Alright here's a new story, and yes it's true i don't stick to one thing for too long sweatdrop

In an empty space, where nothingness isn’t even there, where beast lives, beasts born from sorrow, pain or hatred, where all who enters may only find death, the gateway of grim.

“What where am I?” James said looking around, he felt a sharp pain to his head, he moved his hand up and felt where the pain was coming from, and a trickle of blood ran down his fingers.
“What have I gotten myself into” James said and sighed, he looked around; nothing was there, nothing but the sand, not even a fly nor a cloud, just him and the sand. James sighed and got up he walked around, but no matter how far he walked, everything looked the same, nothing but the sand was all he saw, James sighed, how was he supposed going to get himself out of this one.
“Hello stranger” A voice from behind James said, James jumped at the sudden sound of the voice, he turned around, there in front of him was a man, dressed in all black with a white mask over his face.
“Who… Who are you?” James said stuttering, He tried to sound as brave as possible but that only made it worse.
“I should be asking you the same thing, and shouldn’t you introduce yourself before asking others for there names, it’s only basic manners” The man said and laughed a bit. The laughed of the man calmed James down.
“I’m James, James Rhoda” James said and gave a smile bow.
“Nice too meet you James, I Hoka, Hoka Mayru” Hoka said returning the bow, James thought the man seemed friendly enough, he didn’t seem to want any trouble, and it would be best since he must know of the area, James sighed.
“You are wondering where you are?” Hoka said smiling.
“Yeah I was, so where am I?” James said looking around.
“You are in the gateway of Grim my boy, your in the first segment of it, on level one, but you should go now before they come, remember my name boy, don’t forget it when you wake up” Hoka said.
“Wake up? You mean this is all a dream?” James said.
“Yes it is my boy, but no ordinary dream, but for now make sure you don’t dream anymore, dreaming, day dreaming none of that, okay, they you should be safe, safe from the Grim” Hoka said, before James could say something, he was back in his room, he looked around.
“It was all a dream…. Of course it was a dream, god idiot of me, he said so himself” James said hitting himself in the head, don’t dream he said, well how the hell do I do that, I’m a real dreamer at least that’s what everybody says. James sighed, he got up and walked down the stairs, it was still very early but James wouldn’t be able to fall asleep after what had happened, he wondered what was going to happen now, this so called Grim doesn’t sound to nice, and what would happen of he dreamed again? He didn’t want to know what. James sighed, he hoped he could continue with his normal life, he doubted it, so he only hoped that Hoka would be there when he needed help, he seemed like a nice person, even through he was dressed quite strangely, James sighed once more before getting out a book to read, he wasn’t going to fall asleep so might as well do something useful.

Morning soon broke, James was still wide awake, thoughts still on what happened last night, and her Mom walked down stairs and almost had a heart attack seeing him appear out of nowhere.
“Jesus Christ, don’t scare me like that, you woke up quite early today…. In fact you woke up way early, I would be trying to pry you out of bed at this time” Mom said looking at him.
“Well isn’t that a good thing mom, saves you a lot of trouble trying to get me out of bed” James said giving an awkward smile, But I have to admit that be true, I could sleep all day and all night long for weeks if I was just left there undisturbed.
“Well then help me with breakfast, and then you can take charge or waking Mio up, Okay?” Mom said looking at him giving her famous ‘Starlight stare’ James thought about it, Prying Mio out of bed, it would take a whole army to do that, she was a heavy sleeper and you could fire a gun right in front of her ear and she wouldn’t wake up. James sighed and hesitated.
“Fine, I’ll try and get her up, but I doubt I could, really doubt I could” James said and sighed, she went with her mom into the kitchen and helped her prepare the breakfast, after everything was done, James marched upstairs and opened the door to Mio’s room, he sighed, here goes nothing, James thought and walked up to the side of her bed. He cleared his throat and took in one deep breath.
“WAKE UP MIO!!!!!!!!!” I screamed at her, but she still lay there sleeping, What is with her, man I bet I could set her on fire and she would still be sleeping, man the day she dies where going to have to carve ‘Death while sleeping’ James thought, what he just made up made no sense and sighed, he stared at her and sighed once more. James gathered all of his voice power.
“MIO! WAKE! UP!” James said with all the power of his voice, but yet she still lay there, snoozing happily, James could almost just jump on her and slap her awake, but he held his temptation back, James sighed, how in gods name do I get her to wake, god out of all the people, why did she had to live at his house, James then knew it was because her family had passed on due too a sudden spread of disease, mom was a close friend of them and she took her in, James and Mio had knew each other for almost all there life, and James never managed to once get her awake with out jumping on her and beating her to a bloody pulp.

James sighed, he went into the bath room and poured a hot cup of water, he then went to the side of her bed and poured the water on her face, if this doesn’t wake her, I don’t know what will, James thought. Mio instantly woke up knocking James in the head as she flung herself up.
“Gee James, what the hell was that for” Mio said giving her common ‘Wake up Stare’ she sighed and jumped out of bed offering her hand to help him up.
“Your fault for not waking up” James said and took the hand pulling himself up.
“Yeah, yeah, Whatever, I’m up now, now getting out of my room while I change” Mio said shoving him out of her room closing the door behind. James sighed and walked down the stairs and sat at the table, mom placed the plate in front of him, Mio came rushing down and sat on the sit, she wore her usual school uniform, her hair tied up in a ponytail, Mio wasn’t much of a girl to be honest, she was quite a tomboy but she can be ladylike when she actually tries, but I get scared when he acts like a girl, don’t know why through, I just am. Mom placed a plate in front of her, she gobbled it down so fast it was almost like lightning, James just looked away for a second, and when he looked back all the food was gone, and this was no joke, Man she is going to choke one day, eating that fast can’t be good for you digestion system, James thought. When James finally finished breakfast, she was already set to go, James got up and rushed cramming everything in his bag, then went and joined her.
“Gee James, I’m not going to wait for you next time” Mio said hitting him over the head.
“Sorry, it’s because you eat your breakfast so fast, I’m a slow eater” James said and sighed.
“Yeah, Yeah” Mio said, Next time, I’m going to jam all the food in you mouth, Mio thought snickering at the idea then she turned and went off for the bus stop. The bus came, and we went inside, Mio paid the fare and stood next to it waiting for me, I reached in to my pockets searching around, but I couldn’t find my wallet, Crap! I forgot my wallet, James thought hitting himself in the head, Mio sighed and handed the man the money for him as well.
“You owe me one” Mio said and sighed and walked off into an empty seat, James followed and sat next to her. James sighed, he needed to prepare earlier, he already owned her god knows how much money, at this rate she was going to get rich of him.

The bus arrived at school and James and Mio got off, we walked too our usual group of friends.
“Hey James, Hey Mio” Are best friend Hannah said, she ran over to us.
“Whoa what happened to you face, it looks all burnt Mio” Hannah said laughing.
“You can thank James for this” Mio said giving her dangerous ‘Your dead Stare’. James shivered, he knew he was going to get it when he got back home; this was not going to be fun.
“Hey guys” The last member of a group of friends Tohu said, He walked up to us giving all of us a Hi-fi. He then burst into laughter when he saw Mio’s face.
“What happened to your face Mio? Did you put it in the fire place or something” Tohu said laughing his head off, Mio looked at me giving her next dangerous stare ‘Oh boy you are dead stare’. James shivered he was really going to get it now, I think I might not go home today, I’d be much better off with the mafia chasing me then getting tortured by her, the bell rang and we left off, Mio and James were all in the same classer surprisingly so we would always sit next to each other during class and talk all through out class, of course our teachers would go off at us and we got into a lot of trouble but we still always did it. The bell ran finally for the long awaited recess, true it was only 20 minutes, but that was plenty of time for us. We went to our usual hang out spot and we talked about anything really, we were huge music fans, huge manga and anime fans and we loved drawing, we pretty much loved everything to do with the art category, we would sit there, draw, practice with our instruments, and just talked about stuff, adding of which we were also huge game fans and we would sit there playing cards, and betted with what ever candy or snacks we had, Tohu would always win the most, and James would always end up with noting in my pockets, but luckily Mio was always willing to share her earnings with me so I didn’t have to watch Tohu and Hannah sucking away on the candy.
“Alright, let’s get into a good game of cards” Tohu said smiling grabbing out a deck of cards.
“Alright, this time I’m going to conquer your winning streak” Hannah said, Yeah what till they see me, I’m going to win, win, win, just keep that in your brain, Hannah thought. Hannah always said she would conquer her winning streak but she always failed.
“That’s what you always say, but you never succeed” Tohu said.
“Yeah… Well. I’ll beat you this time, you just watch and see” Hannah said knocked out of her words.
“Well then let the game begin, we will play, biggest hand” Tohu said and deal each of us one card. ‘Biggest hand’ was the game where in the first you are given one card, you can decide whether to continue, or to give up, for every round you get 2 more cards, and there is a total of 3 rounds, the aim was too get the biggest total number of your cards, for each round you can bet an amount you want. In the end the one with the largest total number wins and gets all the bets, if there is a tie, then the candy is spit between the two players but there was a rule added, if anybody got over the total of 55, then it is a automatic lost, but we change the number from time to time. Of course James was never good with this game; he always lost all his candy in the first three matches.
“Alright, the total for this match will be…. ummmm…. 55” Tohu said.

James looked at the card that he was given, a 9 was on it, we all had a total of 10 pieces of candy, James placed in 2, and Mio placed in 3, Hannah placed in 4 and Tohu as usual betted the highest amount of a total of 6. Tohu handed out the next two cards, James looked at the two, a King and an Ace, and Ace could be counted as 11, this was actually going good for once, in his mind he added up the total so far, Let’s see, 9 + 11 + 13 that would be… 33, this isn’t going to bad, I might just win.
