Tayuya knelt by the waterfall, wincing as her left arm touched the freezing water. Looking at the hastily wraped bandage on her forearm, she went over the events of that morning.
The window at the Uchiha house had been open, so she'd climbed in. She knew the Uchiha brat was still alive. Her attack hadn't killed him. this time she wouldn't fail to annihilate him. If only she could find his room. dould it be this door?
*Creeaak*
As Tayuya opened the door to the dark room, the floorboards beneath her feet creaked. She hurried into the shadows and closed the door. At least she thought she'd closed it.
She heard footsteps coming closer. Wait for it, wait for it...she told herself; the door was opening...NOW! She lunged at the open doorway, a razor-sharp kunai in hand.
Instead of seeing the Uchiha brat in the light from the hall, she saw a girl in a red dress with short, light pink hair. As Tayuya lunged forward the girl lunged back, grabbing Tayuya's attack hand and forcing it away as she used her arm as a shield.
Wham! the girl's head hit the wall. Her hand pushed the kunai, so instead of going into her heart, Tayuya's kunai peirced her own arm.
The girl slumped to the ground, and tayuya turned and fled without a backward glance.
"Ow." Tayuya's arm was throbbing like hell; and not just where she'd been stapped, but her entire arm from her fingertips to her shoulder. she unwrapped the bandage, and the sight that met her eyes wasrevolting! Her arm was turning a deep shad of greenish purple, and the edges of the wound were tinged with yellow. It was oozing blood and pus.
"s**t! Must've been using one of my poisoned kunai. Man, that's gross." Carefully she spread a special salve on the wound, her breath hissing through her teeth as the stinging mixture toughed her skin. Tayuya wrapped a clean bandage around her forearm, and tied it off with her teeth. She could feel cold beads of moisture rolling down her face. She turned back to the pool to cool herself off and saw a pink blur reflected in the water coming closer and closer until--
