This one is a little bit different than some of my others in that it really felt like it was coming from somewhere, or rather, that I was drawing from an inside source in order to find its "ingredients". It started off as a simple exercise, but somehow I got onto a different track with it. Simply put, it's based on a weird deja-vu-like memory that I've had for a long time. It may be composed of a lot of places I've been, or seen in pictures, or perhaps it's something completely different. I always get a good feeling when I think about it; mostly it's a sort of "vibe" I get when I see certain settings or images. Let's hope I can do it some justice. xD;
Round Twenty-Seven
I'm all bleary eyed
It's too late to be awake and
lying out here
I can see the stars
kind of
but it's cold
and
is that an angel way up there or
a ******** mosquito way down here
sliding around in the air
in front of my eyes
no
there aren't any mosquitos in winter
or is it fall
Where are all the leaves
and how far do those roots go down
I don't know what they're supposed to look like
maybe is this Washington [DC]
let's see
"beat heart
black line
charcoal
smoke plumes & looms
(why an ampersand
it's got 'and' right in it)
words: crowdingeachother
like that deja vu"
that deja
wait
wait there were
those huge stone buildings
granite marble or
concrete maybe
(how far do these roots go down)
the wind blows and it's cold
or is it warm
wait what is this where is it from
there are trees sometimes
maple trees no wait they're oak trees
wait
green maples without leaves
they're lifting
standing in the grey
shivering in the sky
it's Washington
or N Y C
wait no that isn't right
it's got to be here
but not here
near here
but somewhere else
and always part of the vision is less romantic
there are walls where there shouldn't be
so knockemdown
and ah
isn't it so much better
some trees and a boulevard
with no cars
in stone and brown
like a little cat
wait no that's not right
something else
that's not it
always from a ground level
leaves and no leaves now up in the air
something stone
a library
oh blurry
somewhere it's snowing

How Disturbing.
It's a Gaia Journal. You know the drill. Stuff you don't care about, written by someone you don't know. :0
