Disneyland/Grad Night happened May 17th, 2007. Our Carpe Diem was also due that day. Just a note to myself. [um.. yeah.. I guess I do that? -sweatdrop!!-

Disneyland:

We got onto the bus about 4:10. There were drug dogs sniffing everything. They double checked Des's bag because it was a coffin, we guessed. We got the new bus with the gay arm rests! The guys got the older bus with the tvs and huge seats. I luckily enough had gotten my own sweat. [good thing, because I get sick easy.] Bianca and Amy sat across from me. Danielle and Des were in front of them, Niota was in back. The trip was okay. I listened to music and tried really hard to sleep. We got to Anahime, and we reached the parking lot at 11:00. We had to wait until almost midnight before we were allowed to get off of the bus. We got inside, and we franticly began a quest to look for an uncrowded bathroom. There was a countdown outside on the dark, coblestone street. "5... 4...3...2...1... Welcome to Disneyland's Grad Night!!!" There were fireworks and lights everywhere. Sleeping Beauty's Castle was the centerpiece and it was turning many different colors and went with the music. There were lights in the trees, on the streets, in the buildings, and just baout everywhere else. There were even lights on people who had bought different glow-in-the-dark accesories. I almost wanted one.

We found a bathroom, and we headed to the souveneir (?) shop because we heard that if you didn't buy anything right away, you wouldn't be able to get anything because they would run out. We looked around, but we didn't see anything we really wanted. So, we decided to leave. However, no one had seen Amy. We looked for her, and eventually we got the group back together to find out what exactly happened. We decided to keep a certain spot to come back to, and that we would all split up to find her. We saw Michael and his gang at the cashiers and asked if he saw her. He just said "nope" and acted like a complete a**. I was so angry at him. We decided to try somewhere else, and as we were walking Amy ran up to us out of no-where. We all shouted "AMY!" at the same time and hugged her. Suddenly, tears fell from her eyes. "I was lost!" We all hugged her, and begged her to stop crying. We then told her we'd get churos and go to where ever she wanted first.

On our way, we tried to find a map. We found a booth where they wre hanging out pampets for something, and we got our map. SOme of us signed up for the honda contest there for a scholarship and a scooter. We got these weird blue/black backpacks that wouldn't carry much. They were fine since we didn't have bags and needed -something- to carry. So, we went to futureland, or something like that. We looked at suveniers were [mostly star wers.. wtf? is star wars even disney? I don't think so...] and then we went to the space mountain line. The approx. wait time was 80 minutes. It felt like we were there forever, going through eternal loops and conjested lines full of rampant teens, and a guy with a distinct jack hat that we kept seeing. The sky was a thick grey. It gave the illusion that you were inside. It was also humid, but not humid enough to make sweat stick to your clothes. It was also cold, being the middle of the night and all. We finally got really close ot the front of the line, and I started thinking. "What kind of ride this is?" Too late, already being put into a seat, I realized that it was a roller coaster futuristic ride [and I'm almost deathly afraid of roller coasters] and we set off. It was part illusion, part crazy.. mostly crazy. It was incredible, like we were in some kind of freaky space ride.. I think it's better that we were in the complete blackness so I didn't see what the hell we were doing. We came out, and I lived... But I was very very dizzy. @_@

We got off, and we noticed the line had somehow gotten even longer, if it was possible. We then journeyed off to get some food because Niota is a wuss who can't go through the night without food. She acts like she's a machine running on a fuel... I duno, I guess that makes sense - only it's food instead of fuel. I personally run on sleep. I push those boundries often enough though. -laughs-

We then went to adventure land. We went on the Pirates rides, looked through shops. It was veyr quiet, but they reinacted parts of the movie in no particular order. THe special affects were amazing. We were in a boat in water.. It didn't move to much. After that, we went to a Haunted Mansion. We went into a room, and either the ceiling started to move up or we started to go down. At the end, the lights flashed and there was a hanging skeleton above our heads. We then went on a ride through the haunted mansion. It was interesting. I also recalled seeing a documentary on how they do everything. My favorite part was the floating candlestick.. yep. n_n;; Go figure. The ride stopped in the middle because of "ghosts". [coughs] Erm, after that the other 4 went on some kind of ride while Niota and I got food. SHe was being... run-down and tired = no fun niota-ness. So she ate. I had hot chocolate and some cookie. n_n It was still pretty cold out. By this time it was only 3:30. We went thru the just opend fantasy land. It was pretty lame, and it had lots of kiddy rides. I didn't find anything. We went back to the main square even tho we were supposed to meet everyone at the FL entrance. [I feel so bad.]

I bought Steam Boat Willie stuffed mickey, and tink globe sitting in a perfume bottle. We found the others after I took some pictures. I got excalibur, SB Castle, Big Ben, The Mickey/Walt statue... I dunno.. I guess I have nastolgia.. I didn't want him to pass away. ;_; Or what ever happened to him.. -sighs-

After that we were all pretty much dead. We met up with everyone at no particular street corner. We saw the 3:00 show, BTW. It was cool. THere were music and fireworks. Too bad we couldn't have bene closer. We never went that close up front to it, now that I think about it. I took lots of pictures of different things... It was lots of fun. By 4:00 though everyone was dead. Amy was asleep on the street. We put Danielle's pirate hat on top of her. Desirea was freezing. Bianca went off to get a picture frame. I feel bad that I let her go alone, but I was tired and I didn't want to move. I didn't let myself sleep, because I knew I wouldn't want to get up. We waited there. Danielle and Niota had gone off to buy more stuff. Niota returned with a watch. We waited until about 4:30-4:45 before we went back to the station. There were already 10 people sitting on the stairs. We waited, trying not to fall asleep, waiting the grey thick clouds disperse into the light blue/pink sky waiting underneath it. The grey blanket that was so thick you could light up disco lights on it, was in fact disappearing... But the smog was still there, even though you couldn't see it.

We then walked to our bus, which seemed to take forever. THe group had dismangled itself as we trudged. We all got onto the bus. I set up my bad, and waited long enough for roll call to fall asleep. Unfortunately, the bus with the side seats are very uncomfortable. I woke up at 7:00 a.m. We had just gotten out of the main part of the city. I fell back asleep and woke up at 8:00 where we were having breakfast. I decided to sleep instead. I tried to sleep the whole way. I kept waking up because I was cold, hot, uncomfortable or my foot/hand fell asleep. I considered sleeping on the floor and letting amy/bianca finally get to lay down but I didn't. It didn't seem fair that I had my own seat and I decide to sleep on the floor. -sweatdrop-

We got home to Parke.r I was locked out of my house because it was 12 in the afternoon and school didn't let out until 1:30 that day. We went to Bianca's. We had hambugers/chips. It was good. I layed down on her floor for about 6 minutes and it was time to go home. Amy and I broke into my house. We crashed on my bed. When I woke up at 6 it was time for Ruperto's. Amy had left at about 5. I then fell asleep 10:30.
