So I just finished reading all of the novels that Thomas Harris wrote with the character Hannibal (a.k.a. Hannibal the Cannibal....O_O) Lector....more specifically I just finished reading the book Hannibal, the one where the setting takes place several years later where Clarice Starling is a full fledged FBI agent. You have to read The Silence of the Lambs in order to understand whats going on. In that book, Clarice is sent to talk to Hannibal Lector because her boss believes that he might be able to help.....somehow...In the book she and Hannibal develop a strange relationship where you realize that they respect each other. So in Hannibal she's disgraced because some jerk decided to be an idiot and disobey her orders. She is then assigned a case where she must track down Hannibal. Anyways, Hannibal who ran away to Florence, Italy hears about it and writes a letter to her....not even knowing the sick ugly a** man Mason Verger who survived from Hannibal is trying to get revenge by....man this is some twisted dude...by feeding him to boars. Of course his plan does not work at all considering the fact that the butthead himself was thrown into the arena which all the boars were in while Hannibal (who has been freed by Clarice and she got shot) is holding and walking away with unconscious Clarice. He tends her wounds and everything....seriously, why does he have to mess things up!?!??! I mean you got the girl and then you show the monster you are by eating brain in front of her!?!?!? =__= Seriously....*shakes head in disappointment* But what really confuses me is how Clarice gives into Hannibal and they actually elope to Argentina....Here is why I am still in shock and a little bit confused:
1. First of all I used to think that Clarice saw Hannibal like a mentor and he thought of her like a student or daughter....plus he's like 3 or 4 times older than her =_=
2. HELLO!?!??! HE FRIGGIN EATS PEOPLE!! and the sick thing is that he doesnt just eat them, but he kills them calmly and so diabolically...
3.It's just so damn wrong >:0 I mean....this guy is a fugitive. he's insane yet intelligent, killed a lot of people in a gruesome way, and....uh...well thats all I can really think of right now....BUT SERIOUSLY!!! ITS WRONG!!!! scream scream scream scream scream scream scream
