Hi Missy!!
Yes, I do remember you! You know.. I'm happy to know that you would like my opinion, but remember.. that is ALL it is. All Christians have many opinions regarding God, His law, the Bible, and everything little tiny thing in life. I don't mean to make light of Halloween. But if you know your Bible well.. and you pray to God on a regular basis, many of lifes delemas would fade into the backgrown. To trick or treat or not? Only God knows for sure.. but a little common sense goes a long way. Pray about it. and then ask yourself a few questions, like. What would YOU be doing out trick or treating? Would you be doing Gods will? breaking Gods law? Would you be celibrating a Pagen holiday? If you did would that make you a Pagen?
Do you believe that non-Christians celibating Christmas are suddenly Christian? So would trick or treating harm anyone, including yourself? Are you out stealing candy from children, or bullying them? Are you going out and setting fires, destroying property? Would it make you love God any less if you went out? Would it make you question your faith?
One more question..
Did you go out? If so I hope you have a wonderful time trick or treating.
I do believe that Christians getting together and discussing God is great! But sometimes, they argue about the most silly things. NOT that all arguements are silly, don't get me wrong. If someone is breaking Gods law, or doing something that draws them from their faith, then we should stand up and let them know about it. I just don't feel, personally, that Halloween is one of those things.
God bless your day hon!
love ya!
