Okies! I'm finally done! YAY! XD Sorry if it's strange. It was the first thing that popped into my head and I RAN WITH IT. I think it's cute. I hope you enjoy! Thankyou so much!!
The tall, Spanish moss covered trees surrounded the swamp so perfectly that no one dared come close. Rumors of alligators and man-eating crocodiles kept any smart traveler away from the foggy depths of the murky water. It was interesting to note that most people near the swamp told tall tales about a strange alligator-like creature that stalked the swamp, feasting on any living creature that dared venture close enough for its incredible strength to reach and snatch from the Earth. Or course, if anyone really got close enough to the swamp they would find a quaint little cottage surrounded by a neat white picket fence that looked as if it kept the water from rising toward the home. In fact, someone lived in the little cottage and they were not at all a man-eating alligator cross breed of some monstrous feat. The person who lived in the cottage was simply a girl with a long blue, spiked tail. She had unfortunately been the victim of a spell gone altogether too wrong. Her dear friend had tried a new spell that would make her otherwise short brown hair into long flowing brown hair. Sadly, the new wizard was shaking too much and miss his mark. Instead of having long beautiful locks, he gave her the strangest blue tail. Of course, the girl didn’t mind all too much, just the people around her did. It was a dreadful thing, to be confined to this icky swamp. But one day her prince… or potion, would come.
“Green! Oh Greeeeenn!!” The deep male voice sounded slightly strange now that it echoed merrily through the swamp. The dark water rippled strangely as a goggled, brown haired girl’s head burst from the water. She looked around in a confused manner, a large brown piece of Spanish moss covering the goggles. After a moment of uncertainty she removed the moss and pushed the goggled onto her head. “Oh… Hello Aidan!” She greeted warmly, her blue tail finding its way to the surface. It swished the water softly, as if reminding the man it was still there. Aidan was a tall, light haired wizard standing next to the picket fence. Long ago he had cast a spell he was duly sorry for. Today, he had come to fix it. His smile gave away his surprise. Green jumped from the water, rushing toward him and splashing all the way. Her face was almost covered by her large smile and her tail flickered happily. Aidan held out a hand for her and whisked her into the cottage. He quickly sat her down on the little red and white couch and rolled up his sleeves. “Did you find it?!” Green asked, her voice a little high than normal. Her excitement was evident, just as much as his was. “Of course!” Aidan replied with a shrug, it was really all too easy. He was a little angry he hadn’t found it sooner and felt bad for letting Green suffer for so long. “Well… How does it work?” Green asked curiously, fidgeting in her seat. Aidan frowned, taking a step forward and placing his hands on her shoulders to steady her. “First, you take a deep breath.” Green did so. “Then you sit real still.” Green frowned up at him, but braced her body to prevent movement. Aidan took his step back and brought his hands up in a great sweeping motion. His mouth opened the slightest bit and a stream of deep words rushed out, too fast and foreign for Green to understand. She closed her eyes as a slight wind wrapped her up, tossing the light hair from her shoulders. Her tail flicked impatiently, but soon stilled. After a long moment Aidan took a deep breath and sighed. Green opened her eyes slowly, afraid the spell had not worked or something had backed fried. There was no loud crack, nor smell of smoke, both very good signs. Aidan wasn’t moving, he was standing altogether too still. Green felt her stomach fall down to her toes and she clenched her eyes shut. “Can we fix it?” She asked softly, trying to keep the tears that were accumulating in her eyes from falling. She heard Aidan’s breath catch. Oh no! “We… No… Look…” Aidan managed, his voice husky from surprise and possibly lack of air. Green kept her eyes closed for a moment longer before turning toward her backside. Her eyes flashed open and closed again. Wait… Wait a minute. She opened them slowly, as if the flash of life she saw wasn’t real. Her tail was gone! Her long, blue alligator, myth inspiring tail was gone! Green twirled around to face Aidan and paused, something strange catching in her eyesight. Some long streak of brown. Oh no, what if this was why Aidan was speechless? Green reached out, taking the long brown thing into her hand. It was wonderfully soft, like satin that glistened in the light. Oh goodness! It was hair! Green tossed her head and felt the long tresses bounce happily at their final arrival!! “Oh Aidan!” She cried, jumping up and rushing forward to him, taking him in a large hug. She felt his breath leave and she giggled. “You think I’m pretty now, don’t you?!” She cried, an even bigger green on her lovely face. ~AyeAvast

according to today's washington post:
Charlotte's Web- Wonderful, thoughful, tear-jerking adaptation of the classic 1952 book. Faithful to orgiginal story, and dakota fanning is sweet as Fern!
Eragon- do not see. Bad acting, horrible script (worse wodden dialouge than seen in previous (post TPM) Star Wars installments.) DO NOT SEE!

Eragon- Based of a book that is the poor man's LOTR. Not worth seeing.

I am from... peom
Where am I from? I am not from here, lands of endless concrete forests of shameless institutions, proclaiming upon the masses worship of Eris, golden discord as the true world order. Crosses stand meaningless, Sun sets over stolid flesh indoctrined in decadent idolotry and discontent for other paths they fear: the Outside.
From here, I am not. Pallas Athene, from a Jovian moon. Where oceans of cedar, elm and oak kiss the crown of air. Marble temples let water flow, clear as the First Snow. Sanctuary, my holy shrine, is where I am from.
Am I from my family? Sister of Venus de Milo, Decedance, greed, sloth personified tenfold. Matre d, familia born under Rosary and Pope, martyr of feeling inferior because of her own family. Paterfamilia, not the Just and Wise! Vanishing on pleasant afternoons, must please wife or be exiled to nowhere and far away. As for myself, I am nexus, unwanted child, bringer of false tidings. Unclean, cry those who are delirious with discord.
I am from everywhere and nowhere, a child everybody and nobody wants as their own. Among the sideshow freaks I stand. Masses painted gaily with distaste babble as they pass us. Towards the front, students, incoherent, lost only to the arms of Morpheus, rocking on two feet, no sounds elicted, others banging craniums on Faust, Dante's Inferno, blood flowing, as loud jeers pour forth. Others banshee shreik, bite arms and legs, eating day-old feces. Tears of humor flow as creatures are passed. They come to me, a sublime Muse of Truth, wrapped in ragged gowns, I speak pure nonsense on deaf ears. Move on, as they always do, and I am left in the dark, a creature unloved and misused in a creul world.
From here, I really am not. A visitor from a distant place and time, neither past nor future. Cast into a family of stilted mimes, a spelchure of reality, cast out into Limbo, to note who people are, and where they go. I am from nowhere and everywhere, and that is my Purose.

Last week I had the pleasure of going to Kasucon, an anime convention in my hometown of Arlington, Va. For the those of you who don't know what anime is, it is Japanese animation. Annually in February for the last 11 years, fans living in Northern Virginia gather to celebrate their favorite pastime.
Approxamately 7,000 people attended the three-day-event which included a concert by Psycho Le Cemu, voice actors giving away autographs, and 24-hour video rooms.
Most anime that you have probably heard of are shows like "Sailor Moon", "Yu-Gi-Oh!", and "Pokemon" to name a few. I also saw cosplayers (people who dress up like their favorite anime characters) of all ages from these shows. I myself cosplayed as Nausicaa from director Hayao Miyzaki's "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", the only animanted movie to ever gain recognition from the World Wildlife Foundartion, but also his epic masterpeice. You have probably not heard of this movie, but my favorite thing about anime conventions is that you see anime you have never heard of before.
Case in point, I saw an awesome show titled "Wild Cardz: Card Knights" which is about three girls who use cards as power and as weapons to protect the Card Kingdom. Sounds corny? It does at first, but the animation is quite good, and the show has a solid plotline, as well as enjoyable characters. Sadly, it only consisted of two episodes, as well as a cliffhanger ending concerning my favorite of the heroines, Joe Diamond. However, the other highlight of the convention was the showing of the Studio Ghibli film, "The Cat Returns". In it, a clueless high school girl, Haru, rescues Prince Lune of the Cat Kingdom, and she has to return the favor of saving him by getting married! Thankfully, she gets help from the debonair Baron, the fat cat Muta, and the crow, Toto. The movie was a treat for those who saw it.
However, the entire convention invovles much more than anime. There are voice actors giving away autographs, a game room with retro games as well as new ones, as well as an art show where you can bid on a peice of art, and take it home. (I won a lovely picture of an RPG priestess this way). Not to mention, there was a concert by an uber popular Japanese rock band, as well as a gigantic room filled with anime merchandise to fill everyone's wants and needs.
If you ask me, anime conventions are a blast to go to, and you don't have to know a lot or even anything about anime when you go. Just think of it as a mini-vacation from reality, and enjoy yourself.
