I was really getting into the vibe of posting things on my Gaia journal, but now I'm not so sure. The journal system is buggy and broken in a way that I find hard to deal with.

First off, it has links to posts which don't work. This is bad form for a couple of reasons. One is that I can get to the data that is in those posts by going to the My Entries section, or by viewing the journal in Daily Journal mode. Another is that it blames me for the link not working, which is just not nice:



Another thing is that when I tried to delete the "non-fuctioning" articles, some of them duplicated. What the heck is up with that? Now I've got more of them..

Anyway, I'll leave it alone for now. Hopefully the right people know that the issue exists, I'm just probably going to stay away from the journal for a bit.

Well, I still haven't really done anything. I ate some lunch (two pb&j sandwiches), installed Fedora Core 4 on my PC 'cus my roommate wanted to see it go, and I watched my other roommate play a bunch of God of War.

People have been saying that it's supposed to rain, but I don't really see any evidence of this. It's actually looking really great out right now, and I'm probably going down to the Hunter very soon to pick up those games. I think that should work out fairly well, so long as they're actually open.

I'm just awake now, and I'm trying to plan my day out. There's going to be a barbecue later with my family. That should be pretty fun. Also, because I'm considering this Saturday, I want to not do nothing today. I'll probably also end up considering tomorrow Saturday as well (which it will be), so I'll have two days in a row were I actually do things. I'm just not sure what those things are.

One thing I know I need to do is go down to the Comic Hunter and get all my stuff out of the store. They're moving a lot of bunks and comics to Moncton location in the next week, and I want to make sure that none of my stuff moves too. Hopefully I can get some help with that. Actually, it would be really great to do because then there would be board games to play at the barbecue (like Blokus!).

I might also start to solder some stuff together. I'm not sure about that. I might have to start planning that first because I'm not entirely sure what I'm trying to make here. Some piece of semi-functional art is what I'm after, but the problem is that I want to start doing, and then end up with somthing. It doesn't matter if it properly works or if I like it at first. I just want to create something physical.

I think that I'm actually going to start really posting in this thing. I haven't really been writing as much as I'd like lately, especially not in an electronic form, so I think that I may use this as a way to do more of that. I doubt many will read it, but that's another reason why I think that I prefer this place.

It's too damned hot outside. It makes me feel restless. That's one of the reasons I'm in front of my computer right now, even. I don't feel like getting up and cleaning (which was my original plan) because everything feels all muggy and gross. I don't think I've ever been a big fan of the summer, but it's really come to a head now that I'm working a job I don't really appreciate and it's too hot to properly think. Bothersome.
