How would you assess yourself this year?
Academically (growing, realizing your potential, less than adequate, under achieving, etc)
I came this semester to Bethel from community college… the work load was like hitting a brick wall to be honest. I’ve never needed to write as many papers, as long of papers, or read this much of text books in my life. I would defiantly say that I’m growing, and will still be growing in times to come. I’m figuring out that it is possible for me to get all of this done, I can get finish this work and stay afloat.
As a leader (discipline, problem solving, taking initiative, etc)
Well I certainly have found that I have no problem taking initiative in class, sadly I’m sometimes the only one who does. It puts me in an odd spot and I’ve drawn back from it quite a few times, but I’ve also noticed that people want me in the leadership spot as well. Once, when I was sick and not feeling well, our class had a debate. I told my group that I wasn’t thinking clearly and that I was out for ‘group leader,’ but by the second round they had sort of shifted me into the speaking role and let me say what I could. I like to hope that I’m a leader, but it’s never been proven that starkly before.
Artistically (prepared, research, challenging yourself, taking direction, problem solving, etc)
What do you need to do to be more successful academically? As a leader? Artistically? Spiritually?
What are your goals for next year/semester?
How can we facilitate your growth?
Are there specific styles/shows or playwrights that you would like to explore/experience?
