French Class
Paris is one of the major cities in France that speaks French; it is also the capital. Blue, white, and red are the flag’s color. One of the most famous tourist attractions of Paris is the Eiffel Tower, standing about 1051ft tall. Another attraction is the La Madeleine church and the Louvre Museum were Leonardo De Vinci’s famous artwork Mona Lisa is. Did you know that the Louvre Museum is one of the most famous museums in Europe because of its historical artwork like the Michaelangelo statues and other famous paintings of Leonardo De Vinci? The main holidays in Paris are New Years Day, Labor Day in May 1, WWII Victory day in May 8, Bastille Day in July 14, Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary day in Nov.11, Christmas day in Dec. 25, and 2nd Christmas day in Dec. 26. In Paris to celebrate the holidays people have festivals, family’s getting together, parades, and schools are usually close. Did you know that school in Paris is a lot different from American schools? The school is from Monday-Friday and Saturday morning but Wednesday afternoon off. School usually starts at 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For lunch they eat at home from 1-2 hours. Can you believe that for winter they have a 2weeks field trip to the Alps Mountain?
