I know it doesn't matter...but I really can't sleep at all anymore.
I mean...I'm facing one of the hardest times in my life...and I feel so alone.
Sorry for sounding so emo...but I mean...
*Sighs*
I signed up for this, so I knew it was going to happen.
But that still doesn't justify the fact that I am terrified...
I really don't want to leave home...don't want to be shot at...don't want to be IEDed or anything.
If people only knew...just what we go through, just to keep them safe....
*Looks down at kitten; smiles*
I want the peace and serenity I had when I was a kid.
I wan to go home, and sit in front of my tree...and just...let the world past me by.
But things like that don't happen anymore, huh?
Well...to all that is reading this...on behalf of a US Army Soldier...have a great Christmas and a happy new year.
