Now that I go back, I sort of regret beginning my journal in such an unprofessional way, but I suppose it can't be helped. Even with a journal name, referring to a book I know nothing about, "Memoirs of a Geisha", I my sheer will for an achievement has left my first journal entree...unconventional, for lack of a better word:
I am what a gamer would call an achievement whore. Every since I got an Xbox360, I sap the life (or achievements, rather) out of every game I have. I regret not getting a PlayStation 3. But I digress. It has become a habit for me to beat a game, then go back and drain the achievements out of them, to render a higher Gamerscore to compensate for the lack of consistence in which I get my games. I've carried the habit to Gaia, and quickly passed up a long time friend in achievement score after only a short time. Any achievement I can get, I quickly take the opportunity to get. How is this relevant to anything, or rather this moment. Well, achievement whoring has led me to my first journal entry, for it is near Easter, and the event is now active, where you unlock rabbits by going to certain places. I was given a link to a complete list of locations by a friend, and quickly started searching. I was out to get at least 40 rabbits, which would earn me the Bunny Hoarder achievement, or something of the sort, and to do so, I had to finally begin my journal.
I now have the achievement, and it only took me a mere hour or two all together. I was so into getting the achievement, that my original first journal entry consisted of only the first two lines, leaving an ellipses (...), and continuing. Oh, my addiction to these achievements is very much due to some underlying competitiveness, resulting from lack of games...
