was adopted
at five weeks old.
We named her Penny,
which was her momma's name.
She has bright red hair
and big brown eyes
that shine when I play
outside with her.
She sleeps an
awful lot
for someone her size.
She loves attention
and kisses you
because she likes to.
She is a really fast runner
for someone her age.
She loves the car
she wakes up every morning
to go with me to school.
And before I go,
I give her a kiss on the forehead,
and she looks sadly at me as I
walk away.
My mom is her favorite person
she follows her everywhere.
She hates being brushed.
Whenever I pull out a
comb, she runs.
Her hair is very soft!
Wait-
Did I mention that Penny is a dog?
