I have no time for brats
Kazeryu Senshi HAY HAY I KNOW I'M GOING TO GIVE UP ART BECAUSE YOU KEEP IGNORING MY POSTS I ONLY DID ART SO I COULD GET BETTER FROM YOUR HELP BUT YOU IGNORING MY POSTS AREN'T HELPING FORGET YOU GUYS, SCREW GAIA. If your request is ignored, there's a high chance that you weren't specific enough with your request. (Just like your statement here.)I already stated it's possible to get ignored on the first page, (you ignored my message as well) when that happens just repost or quote your request we will get back to you. If you are going to give up art because someone else ignored your problem, it's your choice, then maybe art is not your thing. Giving it up could be right for you. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ This kid think s/he's something special? Really... when one give service to others, there's always crap like this one has to deal with. I slightly reacted to the rudness, I do not have as much grace as God.

::Why is this a hospital::
::Another Staff Announcement::
*clears throat*
idea The reason why this is a "hospital" and not a school or other organization:
I want people to have the mentality to help/save others who are in struggle, and in trouble; using the "hospital" as a way to organize a thread for critque prevents the harsh mentality that oftens accompany with critques. Even when we get harsh, we will remember we are "hospital" staffs.
idea Why there's staffs like doctors and nurses:
It is a way to ensure the critque level more.... but that was not the original goal.
The original reason why I made doctors and nurses positions was to give people who owns a level of skill an entitlement, to bring them into a stage of commitment. Or people who just want to help out, to put them in a stage of mind that "I am a nurse now I should help people." To share my burden, so when I am not around, this thread can still go on with the helpful people around here.
exclaim This has come up again and again: If someone random pops in with tutorials, galleries to show off, or critque to add on, how should the hospital handle it?
It is true it can get unpleasent if people just jump in randomly and try to comment and critque, or just to show off their work. However, there's no reason to exclude that possibility, because it may be helpful, if it's not helpful, ignore them, do not reply them. Without encouragement, they won't come for more, unless this person is really too bored and got no where else to go on Gaia.
exclaim Spams should be greatly discouraged, we want real conversation and quality. But often, its better to just ignore that one single spam post unless they keep it up.
That's all for now, doc and nurses notice.

Getting emotional over your work? Of course!
Ever gotten emotional when someone gave you a crit, and have someone else say: "You should separate yourself from your work to improve?"
In fact.... There is NO way for an artist to be truely separated from their work, unless they don't care about it anymore. Most of the time, we are driven by our emotions to create art, and OF COURSE we will have emotional linking to our artworks!
OK... Let's understand.... there's a difference between constructive critique, and a criticism.
arrow A constructive criticism (or critque) will point out technical stuff that you can obviously improve on, although sometimes it can be offensive, but usually the critic is just seeing things at a higher level, and if you throw out what gets you down and keep the good pointers, you will improve.
arrow However, there's another kind of criticism that contains "look downs" "you are not good enough" and the lack of respect, most artists react to that instead of the pointers. And even a good constructive criticism can contain such things. That's why alot of artists who got it mixed up are afraid of critques from people.
Now you see, if you can separate what is truely helpful to you, and trash the harmful words into your mind's trash can, you can take anything and become more durable and not easily offended.
arrow "If they don't care about you, their words will have no weight; if their words have no weight, why let it be a burden?"
Another thing is to humble yourself when you get upset, thoroughly read those words again for yourself, and pick out what is really helpful to you, keep those in mind, and for those harmful words, you will have to forgive the person.
Forgive the person who hurt you can help yourself to be released from the burden and bitterness you might have, so you can go on creating works with more freedom and less emotional burdens.
Hey, since we are artists, most of us are emotional, let's learn to manage our emotions instead of trying to separate it from our works.
