We keep lots of of animals at our school, mostly pigs and rabbits, as well as one iguana, two hamsters, two birds and sometimes bulls (but none this year). The animals are either owned by the students who chose to keep them at school or by one of two teachers who take care of all the animals.
While they were trying to tattoo one of the rabbits on Halloween the experience, added with several students standing around the rabbit, holding her down was too much for her to take and she suffered a heart attack - her heart stopped. One of the teachers took her and began to preform CPR and then mouth to mouth. She was able to revive the rabbit and save her life. I am very proud of this teacher and her quick thinking and knowledge saved that rabbit's life, I think she is a hero.
I just had to share this because I think what that teacher did was amazing.
