Clamp School Detectives is freaking hilarious. rofl I just felt the need to share that. whee heart Why can't there be more? crying

I just realized my Gaian birthday was two weeks ago. crying How did I manage to miss that? Oh, I remember. I keep thinking it's on Halloween... now that I think about it, though, Halloween was my Neopets join date. xd

I should stop calling these my happy notes and just call it "my place to post whatever the hell I feel like, scarce though those occurences may be." xd

So, I'm having another one of those sleepness nights. Six o'clock and no sign of stopping. Sigh. At least the sky's that really cool grey sort that you only get in the morning, when the whole world feels coated with it and you can almost breathe it in. whee heart

In the grand tradition (sort of) of these kind of nights, I spent the whole night (starting about 1:30) on YouTube. sweatdrop Used to be I'd end up watching Adult Swim all night, and whatever comes after, and realize that I could finally sleep when things like Duel Masters stopped looking good. xd I'm two thirds the way through Gokusen Season One, and closing in on finished... We'll see how long it takes me to crash and be able to sleep, I may make it through season 2. What I'll do after that and the special I don't know, since I'm kind of in a rut and if I can't sleep and can't find something else to do, I might just go crazy. sweatdrop Gokusen is a large improvement over Peach Girl though ( emo vs. scream heart domokun whee ninja , no contest) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. biggrin I'm totally in love with, like, half her class - they're just too cute, and they have the whole "we're delinquents but our heart is in the right place, allow me to give you a heart-shattering little smile now" thing going on for them. 4laugh

Okay, shutting up now. I think I'm winding down and will be able to sleep soon, so I'll go enjoy my Gokusen now. whee heart

Update as of 8:30: Still no signs of sleep yet, still not finished with gokusen. sweatdrop On a side note, I have totally fallen in love with Noda's character, even more so than the rest - he's just such a cutie. wink I just keep waiting for him to smile again. Not that any of you care about any of this, but I'm short on sleep and high on Gokusen, and therefore easily amused. xd

Update, 6:30pm if anyone cares: Still no sleep, though I'm still feeling wide awake. sweatdrop For that matter, all I've had to eat since dinnertime last night is a piece of cheese, and it wasn't even because I was hungry. Apparently, I have entered stasis for the past twenty hours with no word when I'm coming out of it. rolleyes At least my sleep patterns shouldn't be screwed up... unless I pull this two nights in a row. In which case I'll really start to get worried. sweatdrop

So it's been a long time since I put anything in here. xd On the not so happy note side, I have insomnia, and haven't gone to bed yet. xp As it is nearly seven in the morning, that means I'm this |<-->| close to hitting the twentyfour hour mark - surprising, since I had so much trouble waking up this (yesterday?) morning, and was so tired yesterday evening... but by the time it was time for bed, I was beyond wide awake. xp

On the more happy side, I've been marathoning Peach Girl fansubs. sweatdrop It's great melodrama, kinda like a teenage animated soap opera, and I can't stop watching it. xd I swear, the end of episode 20 very nearly made me cry. Poor Kairi... crying (not to be confused by the girl from KH with the same name... I'm pretty sure this is a boy. xd ) And I'm waiting for the damn girl just to solve all her problems and emotional flip-flopping by just getting the guys to share. Seriously. Every show needs a good threesome. So says me. xd And I can usually manage to manufacture one for myself, too. XD It's just so easy in some cases... like here. Though this isn't really a true threesome so much as a menage a trois or an enlightened love triangle, I suppose. ^^;;;

Christmas time! w00t! xd I'm still trying to absorb the fact that it's Christmas Eve, what with having just finished finals too days ago... but it's here! blaugh So happiness is muchly present. Speaking of presents what a seque! Go the kami! XD, I've already received three presents! blaugh

My good friend Jenny got back from a semester in Japan about a week and a half ago, so she gave me a small assortment of random things from Japan for my birthday/Christmas. And a ceramic mug thing with no handles from Prague with candy inside. Appropriate, since our families are the only ones we know of around her with Czech blood. heart

Draupner gave me a new (oldish) Dropkick Murphies cd for my belated birthday, and a big gift card to Michaels for Christmas. heart I'm happy, as it means I won't actually have to pay for yarn for at least, oh... two or three trips. xd More than that if I shop like a normal person. yeah, right. XD

jack_kant and Brunhilda and company gave mean excellent selection - giraffe socks, penguin socks, new pajama pants (they look really warm and comfy!), and a Mustang shirt. heart I'm about ready to cut the tags and wear them all day today. Well, only one pair of socks... but you know what I mean. biggrin They also gave me a set of mini markers, a bead lizard, and a small stuffed hippo with a scrunchie for a tutu. xd Thanks guys! heart

I'm 21 as of 2:18pm today, and not a single drop of alcohol have I had. How sad. xp I may have to raid the booze cabinet and dip into the Shamrock Schnapps or something. Today was not a good day to turn 21, what with my classes that I couldn't afford to miss, my mom's classes that she couldn't afford to miss, my friends being out of town still due to college, and so on. xp I'll make up for it later this week. But I'm 21! or 11, depending which friends I'm talking to. XD So happy note it is.

kochy finally let me open my birthday present - a book of sock patterns, complete with techniques and basic knitting stuff in the front so that I have everything I might need right at hand. Now I just need my needles and some appropriate yarn, and I can go crazy. xd With socks, that is.

Gaidin showered the goods upon me! blaugh A green-blue scarf, a blue pompom scarf, and a winter wind snow sweater. I'm in heaven. whee heart

Shil gave me a single blue daffodil bouquet. It matches my new clothes! blaugh heart

Snuggle gave me a big bouquet of blue daisies, which also matches my new clothes (we'll ignore the yellow ribbon xd )! Yay! 4laugh heart

So I'm back from seeing the fourth Harry Potter movie, and it was awesome. Not only was it a Harry Potter movie, and therefore cool, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie. The audience was so into it by the end - and not in the "I'm a rabid fan, so I'll cheer when anything happens" sort of way, since there were actually very few rabid fans there me being one of them... ^^;;; - that it was almost an interactive experience. The cinematography was wonderful, the special effects awesome, and everything was set up beautifully. Not to mention it was funny. Nobs, who is not really a Harry Potter person, overall, enjoyed himself as much as I did. Two thumbs up from our twinlinesses, which is uncommon, to say the least. xd

On a side note, I spent much time snorting laughs about my friend who sat next to me, due to her inability to keep quiet her amazement over how hot all the boys in the movie are. Except for Ron. Poor Ron... even Neville was looking pretty good after Yule Ball, personality-wise, but no love for Rupert. crying xd

Trans gave me a present for my Gaian birthday! Or two, depending how you look at it. whee I love presents... heart

REMD sent me gold and a frozen rainbow helm. heart I almost don't know what to do with myself... except that I do. I'll go gloat over my prezzies for a while. whee xd
