Day 4 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 7-5
For Monday, I was still incredibly dizzy.. I also felt bad because I wasn't at school, and I knew that my friends were missing me. But, it couldn't be helped because I was in constant agony. I tried to eat yogurt, and drink at least two large glasses every day. SOmetimes it was hard because it would take three tries to swallow one sip. I also figured that if I was on my side when I drank, it would go around the uvula a lot easier. I actually took a nap somehow, and later on I took a shower because.. Well I needed a shower! xD My friends visited me that day too. Niota brought over Amy and Des. Amy got in trouble because she was supposed to babysit her siblings, but she didn't even know. Desirea had to be back home around 5. Niota was busy driving them back and forth, and we had hardly any time of seeing her because of that. Plus, she had to pick up her mother. It was kind of a hassle for her more than aything else, like usual. -sigh- It was nice to see everyone, but soon I got tired and I had to lay down. Amy drew lots of cute pictures with my dry erease board, but before we could appreciate them she ereased it and drew another picture. -giggles- So cute! That night I fell asleep around two in th emorning...
Day 5 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 7-4
I was woken up around 7 that morning again, because that's when the kids are being woken up to go to school. They're also very loud and cranky when woken up. They also like to go into my bathroom, even though theirs is closer. Once I'm awake, they kept checking in on me and asked if I wanted anything. Usually the first things I ask for is pain killers and something to drink. During the night, the medicine wears off and your throat is just sitting there. I also hate laying on my back to go to sleep, but I had to in order to stay propped up. I also had ice packs constnatly. Walking around also made me dizzy. Sometimes I would wonder if the dizzyness or if the pain was worse when it was time to take some more medicine again. It was horrible, because I didn't feel like myself. I felt like some kind of zombie sitting there in front of the television all day. I didn't accomplish anything.. I'm not really the kind of person who likes to vegitate all day.. I'd at least like to be online, or doing -something-! One of the worst parts though is that eventually everyone stopped checking up on me, and it felt really lonely. My sister and her husband jokingly kept saying that I was 'faking' it.. But honestly, there's no faking that kind of pain. You get better every day, but it's still painful, and experiencing pain all the time for so long is just indescribable. That night I tried to eat Ravoli while watching a documentary on Gesihas. I swallowed about 20 noodles in 30 minutes, and towards the end I'm guessing my medicine wore off because my throat was on fire. I drank as much apple juice as I could to soothe the pain,a nd fell asleep around 1:30.
Day 6 - Pain: 10 being kill me, 1 being perfect... /// 7-5
Wednesday..hump day.. Being just halfway through the healing process, I was still bored as ever. At least at this time I could get up and get my own stuff like ice packs, juice or medicine. However, it still recquired a lot of effort and coordination of time. I had to make sure to set everything up before I had to take my pain medicine. With little substinence in my body, the medicine would react in about 10 minutes and I'd be re-introduced into a dizzy world full of nonsense. I watched a lot of cartoons, tv shows, shows on haunted houses and just about anything else as long as it wasn't a re-run. I also watched game shows like family fued, ectetera. On Wednesday I went into the living room around 11 because my room is the brightest and the hottest room in the house. This is credibly ironic, since I'm one of the most sensitive to heat and get heatsick very easily. So, I retreated to said living room because the light is blocked out and there's a huge ceiling fan. Around 1:30, I fell asleep for a few hours until the monkies [my nieces] came home from school. I don't remember what I ate that day, but when ever I ate smething 'solid' it always took me at least an hour to eat all of it. After a while, your jaw hurts because it's tired of chewing for so long.. But you have to chew it because you want to make sure it's soft enough and goes down easily. I fell asleep around 11:30 that night.
