While I was on my dream holiday in America (driving a motorcycle on route 66) I met Howdy and his cat Elvis. It was on a café in the middle of nowhere. We came quickly on friendly foot with each other. I asked why he travelled around with a cat on his motorcycle. He looked at me and then he began to tell his story:
Well you see I lost my wife 5 years ago. It was a sad time and I began to feel really lonely. One day my son came and asked me if I wanted to go on a motorcycle trip with him on route 66. At first I didn’t want to hear about going anywhere. But my son wouldn’t give up. He even bought me this motorcycle that is just as old as me! Well almost I think. So off we went. We had a wonderful time together. I really enjoyed driving on my “old bike” as I call my motorcycle. After have been home for a month I decided to take another trip. This time I wanted to go to Grace land to where Elvis lived. I have always been a big Elvis fan, so now was the time to go there. I camped a week in the near of Grace land. The second night I was there I heart a noise it sounded like a baby crying from a bush. I went over to see what it was. I got a shock when I saw what it was. It was a cat with 3 small kittens. The mother cat was barely alive. It had been really bad heart. Two of the kittens were dead and the third kitten was the one I had heard crying. Without thinking I took the kitten and the mother cat and drew to the nearest veterinary. Sadly the mother cat didn’t survive, so the little kitten was alone in the world. I felt so sorry fore him that I decided to take him with me home. I named him Elvis because I found him where I did. On the trip home Elvis was sitting in a backpack, which I had taken on so it was in front of me. Elvis enjoyed the trip just as much as I did, so we have been travelling around as much as we can ever since that time. Well ok Elvis don’t want to be in the backpack any more. He wants to stay in front of me, so he can feel the wind. That’s also why I bought him a hat and a scarf, so he doesn’t get cold. You know he is my best friend.
After I had been talking with Howdy for a long time, it was time to go on with my trip. Howdy and Elvis joined me for some miles and then I never saw him again. But I still thing off him and Elvis. They are properly still driving around in America.
A story I have written (don't mind the spelling mistakes)
