That night I decided to make my escape. I ran out onto my balcony and then jumped into a nearby tree. My teddy bear dropped to the ground and I jumped down to get it. "There she is!" The shadow gaurd yelled as it came running toward me. I ran the other way and out the gates. Then I thought,
"If only they would blow up!"(<and eight year old's first choice lol) Then all of a sudden, the gate blew up. I was scared, I ran even faster. Then as I was running all sorts of things were blowing up around me. "What's going on?!" I cried out to no one in general. Then a cloaked figure walked out in my path and I ran into his open arms. Then he held out his hand and a beam of light filled the marketplace. All of the shadow gaurds were defeated. "It's okay, I'm here." The boy said while stroking my hair lightly. He seemed about sixteen. In the moonlight he led me to a small park where he said one day he would return and take me away to where he lived. So there is where I waited for five years. And still to this day he has not come.
