Movement in the undergrowth could be seen but hardly heard. The steps were silent as death and since the wind blew you could tell whether it was one of the fox clan members or prey. But suddenly all went still and a vixen appeared.
The sun struck the pelt of the female and it glowed a radiant copper tone. The white on the vixens paws and belly seemed to illuminateaswell but the golden eyes (c)

only twitched back and forth aswell as the whiskers and nose, as if they were searching for something. The female's name, Kironi, which meant light.
The female turned with head low back into the underbrush.
