into the darkness i become
and unfold slowly, surely
so it will take me over
over to the other side

and as i dream
i wonder,lying,
if theres another place for me
on the other side

oh, on the other side
is a world like no other
it will take your spirit, throw it high
and hope to god it comes back down
you'll be a whole new person then
into the darkness dark,
on the other side

in the morning,
sweet yet sour,
a new day to wonder about the earth
crawling into darkness
to get into the other side

memories scattered everywhere
hopelessly floating
at the steel gates
of the other side

oh, on the other side
there's a place where you can run
where the trees bend down to hold you
and the sun is an eclipse
you can run away, run away
let your spirit go
for everything is different
on the other side

the day passes
i remain restless
and careless as to what i must do
but intentions are not what i need
to get into the other side

as i sit,
and as i work
i ponder if my life is rightbut it cannot be right for i am not
on the other side

oh, on the other side,
where all thoughts are lost in the hope for another day
we sit and wait
but our lives are short
and we must not waste them
while waiting for our spirits to leave
and to carry us on further
to this magical other side

as the day ends
and i'm laying down to bed
and my tea is done
and i'm restless
so i fall onto the base of my dreamland
to take me to the other side

and when i wake
i'm in that special place
where your souls run free
i'm finally on the other side.
