Gaia-Name: Lloyd_The_White_Wolf
Name: Ephidel Macht
Age: 5,607
Race: Arcane-infused Human
Class: Sage
Weapon: An arcanite blade.
Powers: He has the control over the Arcane, a very rare magical power listed only in the most ancient of tomes. It was the very book that contained Arcane magic he was reading on his twentieth birthday, and that's when he started his downward Spiral.
One of the simplest Arcane spells is that of Feuerkugel. It's a high-charged blast of blue energy that expands in a shockwave on contact. It locks on to its targets, and goes at speeds of 50 MPH.
Another more moderate spell of the Arcane is that of Blitzknall. It's basically blue lightning, only with volts exceeding one billion. It moves somewhat slower than normal lightning, and does not lock on to targets. It's hard to aim and hit, but if it does, it's devastating. It's meant more for a group, rather than a single target.
An advanced Arcane spell, is Masse Mörder. Ephidel must place both of his hands upon the ground, and have at least five seconds to prepare. It sends a gigantic shockwave through the earth all around him, uprooting trees and even castles. It leaves him open to attack whilst he prepares, so he rarely uses it, if ever.
Another advanced Arcane spell, Kraftwelle, is another shockwave, only less damaging, but with more throw power. It sends a orb of invisible energy around him, and blows them back with violent force. The attack itself doesn't hurt too much, only knocking the wind out of the target(s). It's the landing that hurts the most. He must raise his right hand in the air, and say "Kraftwelle zerstören meine Feinde." Again, this leaves him open, so he hardly uses it.
Back to simple spells, Eiswand sends super-cooled air mixed with water towards the target. That water is kept protected until it arrives at the target's feet, then it freezes the target's feet together, and to the ground. Leaving him stuck there for at least five seconds, just enough time to send another attack.
Obskure Sperre is a simple shield spell, covering Ephidel in a blue sphere, protecting him from harm. While he is in the protection of Obskure Sperre however, he cannot move, nor speak.
Spielraum is a teleportation spell, though it is more painful than any of his natural pains. It literally rips you apart into trillions of pieces, then places you back together again. It weakens Ephidel greatly when and if he uses it.
That's all the Arcane spells he has mastered, for that is all that is possible with only his golden eyes transfiguration. He was able to master Feuerkugel without the eyes, but that is what forced him to 'gain' them.
He has simple fire, water, earth, light, dark, and wind spells as well, which are too miniature to mention, except one fire.
It's a relatively big fireball, which temperatures go above fifty-four thousand degrees Fahrenheit. It is magically sealed so that no heat escapes, though that hinders its speed greatly.
He can enchant items, and conjure miniature items, such as food, and simple water, even bunnies.
Personality: Due to his pains, Ephidel tends to withdraw himself from others, but is not anti-social in the least. Even if he is not entirely human, he at least has human emotions, as well as weaknesses.
Past: Ephidel does not remember his childhood, he had no childhood. When he was four and just starting to read, his mother died of a sickness, and he never knew his father. He was so stricken by his mother's death; he felt that if he had known a sufficient amount of magic, he could have saved her. An old book collector took him in, and allowed Ephidel access to his vast archives of ancient tomes and magical books. The old man had no ability of magic himself, so he couldn't help Ephidel at all, who started with the simplest books, going up as he went. But, he went too far. See, humans are not meant to even possess magic, let alone have vast amounts of it. On his twentieth birthday, pains started erupting all over his body, and was rendered unable to move, speak, and most likely not even think. He was immediately sent to a practiced cleric, and even she could not heal him. After two weeks in coma, he opened his eyes. But instead of his normal deep green eyes, a bright golden glow erupted from them. He saw the world differently; he was able to understand more, so he delved deeper. The pains started to return; only this time he didn't go into a coma. He enchanted a robe to resist the comas as soon as he could, and he never takes it off, for fear of weakness. He has everlasting pain, and sometimes they get so much that he collapses, but still is conscious. He is changing, he knows this, but he is addicted to magic. Even so, he couldn't let go even if he wanted to. Once one goes down the deep path of the Arcane, there is no return.
