If you are like me, then you come to Gaia seeking an escape from the world and its evils. The world can be such a sad place. People want to hurt you, take from you and exploit you for their own reasons. Pressure to perform, weather it be in school, business or even relationships can be overwhelming. Gaia provides the perfect escape into a fantasy world. It is a world where we can nurture one another and play in a relatively safe environment. Unfortunately, many people would bring the sadder elements of the real world in here.

A quick word about me. I am not a person who tries to hurt others. In fact I actively seek out people who are upset here on Gaia and try my best to help them. At the very least they leave knowing that someone out there cares about them. I try to bestow the modest amount of wisdom I have accumulated and serve it with a little love and understanding on the side. Please do not mistake the previous explanation as a way of me flaunting any kind of superiority complex or self proclaimed perfection. I am merely trying to sum up my being so that you may understand where my argument is coming from.

There are some terrible misconceptions out there about the people on Gaia. The first I would like to address is a term I have come to hate? NOOB. A noob is a name give to people who are relatively new here on Gaia; still learning the ropes and getting used to the Gaian society. These people are often cast off and demeaned by some of the more experienced people here on Gaia. These people forget that they were once new as well. They should endeavor to make the early Gaian experience a wonderful one for all new people. Why you ask? If there are no new people, there will be a population drain and Gaia will die. Also new people also lead to more donations for Gaia, and business for Gaia?s sponsors. This allows Gaia to add more features and continue to grow and thrive. In addition, it is just good nature to help those who are new and be tolerant of their mistakes. Gaia is a free site and should be available to everyone... not just the elitists.

Another is that all people on Gaia are prey to those who feel they are more intellectual. Gaia is made up of many different people. Those who feel they are smarter than the others should use their gifts to help people. It only makes sense, and the true intellectuals should be able to see this. Those who can not see the inherent wisdom and beauty of helping others with their talents, should take a serious look at the intelligence they feel they possess, for they are clearly lacking it in some areas.

Ok last thing I wanted to talk about was a recent experience I had. I was lucky enough to go to the 1 year Gaia celebration held in Gambino. I had a great time despite the rocky start. You see, many of you know that it started late and there was some questions about when and where it was. It involved new features on the site and it was a little confusing. I started a thread and asked what was going on as there was no official word, and I was immediately met with criticism. I was dumbfounded at the negativity displayed by my fellow Gaians. It was sad and after I explained that nobody was forced to read or respond to the thread, it quickly dried up. But the backlash was quite sad. I was not upset as I am very comfortable with who I am and the actions I take, but it was sad to think that people who are not as secure will be subjected to this in the future.

For those of you who delight in hurting others, please take a long look at who you are deep in your soul. I am sure there is beauty in there. You know what I am talking about. You can find it if you look. It is this beauty that accounts for all the magic in the world.
