So, I flew back to Fort Drum today. I had been on a 4 day pass, and had gotten stuck a few extra days. That was nice, since I really hate being here at this point. It's not even that I really hate the Army that much. I'm just really sick of being so far away from everything that I care about.

I really have nothing here on base. I don't feel like I should bring any of my stuff here, since I'm only going to get deployed again soon. I don't have any family or friends here, and that's the part that really bugs me. I just don't get along with the "Army type", so I don't even feel like trying to make friends here. I really don't belong in the Army. Sometimes I really wonder what my recruiter was thinking when he signed me up.

I guess I just feel like my whole life has been on hold for the past 3 years, and I'm getting stuck on hold for extra time because I'm getting stop-lossed. All for some college money that I might not even use and something nice to put on my resume.

Well, I guess I've complained enough for tonight. Dunno if this is really what this journal thing is for, but I guess it's what I'll use it for. Might do me some good putting my feelings down in writing anyways. Hope you enjoyed my first entry blaugh .
