"What do you mean you can't find her?!" I shouted at Nerissa's hologram and screen displays.

"I am not registering Shalimar anywhere on the grounds," Nerissa replied, calmly and slowly. "And before you ask me again, no one could have sneaked in to kidnap her."

"But what about Shaddox?!" I asked. "He can appear and dissappear within shadows! How do--"

"Because he has been with the rest of us the entire night," Sini Nini said. "Ikkit has been up all night trying to herself and the others in their correct bodies. Shaddox has been helping her out."

"No one has entered or left the grounds all night," Nerissa said. Pausing, she tilted her head to the right and looked up. Straitening her head and looking at me, Nerissa said, "Found her."

Sitting up, I looked at the ends of my hair. What the frell happened?

"You shouldn't swear," someone said behind me. "Even if you are only thinking it and it is in another language.

Shooting to my feet and spinning around, I faced two people. "Scuro and Litch I presume?"

Pausing for only a minute, Litch approached me. "You presume correctly. Sadly, Wynn did the exact opposite of what we demanded."

"Stop right there," I said coldly. "I know of your threat. You aren't going to touch me, I won't let you."

"Sorry, kitten," Scuro said, keeping pace with Litch. "Wynn broke the rules."

"Fine, catch me if you can," I replied, backflipping into the pool of water behind me.

"He's so cute!" I said, seeing Xink crawl onto Xangord's head. "I'd have Nerissa send him home--"

"He's not going through the transporter," Xangord said.

"--but since he's so small I don't think I will," I finished, smiling. "For now, I'm going to have the two of you stay here and have Nogard protect you."

Transforming into my human form--my new water hair was a bit unnerving--I went into the corridor. Quickly taking stock of the situation, I lifted Rose and put her in AUNTIE-D's arms. "Don't let her walk. She needs to conserve her energy."

To Nissa, I said, "Xink's been hatched. It wasn't a normal hatching so I want your AI and Nogard to stay here and watch over her."

To Rose's group, I said, "We're going to go see the fairies. No one is to talk unless spoken to--I am to do all the talking. If you value your lives, do NOT be rude--they're upset at me already and that's fine. They have cause to be. You do not want them to be upset at you."

As I turned, I suddenly poofed into my chibi form. Swearing in dragon language--the last thing I needed was to be chibified when dealing with the fairies--I led the others to the hold where Nerissa had used her gravity controls to hold the fairies to the floor.
