As the days go by, i feel ever so lonely
ever drifting into the darkness i once feared.
but now it starts to feel... warm
like a familiar blanket protecting me
from those outside

As i start to drift into a world of despair and sorrow
my mind starts to feel a sort of release
like a weight being lifted of my shoulders

Has this feeling of darkness, come to me before
or has it always been here besides my heart
waiting.... just waiting
for my heart and soul.... is at its... lowest.

I start to fear
that i may never become
my old self...
...ever again.
